    I'm Back After Several Years

I've been off Satellite Guys and away from my former favorite hobby of FTA satellite for several years now while going through a bad divorce. Even my satellite dishes and receivers haven't been used in years until today when I fired up my Anaconda HD receiver. What's New? Have I missed...

    Latest Receivers / 4K

As some of you may already know, my wife left me after 23 years of marriage and now I'm living alone. I'm thinking perhaps a new 4K TV and FTA satellite receiver might help the healing process. Are there any FTA receivers available that support 4K and / or have a built-in OTA tuner? It would...

    PB&J

Thank you guys, it's good to be back. Working on some FTA projects will help get my mind off things. Some guys cheat, abuse their wives, get drunk, stay out late, don't spend time with family, etc. Before my wife left she said "I'm too kind and loving of a husband".

    PB&J

It's been a bad year. Just days after my 53rd birthday in February, my wife of 23 years told me she wanted a separation. She moved out in June to continue a new relationship with a 'dom' she met online who was looking for a sex slave. I've been living the worst nightmare of my life that I'm...

    Hazel

Thinking of age, last Friday a young engineer (born in the 80's) at my work imitated someone and we told him that he sounds like Gomer Pyle. He replied "Gomer who?". We said "You know, Gomer Pyle USMC", and he replied "I never saw or even heard of that show". I'm getting old. :)

Same here! Between COZI, Antenna TV, FETV, MeTV, THIS and Decades, I'm a happy camper and don't need those "cable" channels that air the same reality programming over and over. FYI - I looked at Lesea's schedule and they also air Benson, Sanford and Son and other retro programming.

Thank you guys! Thinking of Christmas, where is the Satellite Guys Christmas theme?

And you didn't tell me! :) I need to lookup their schedule to see if there are other shows I'm missing.

Don't know if this was posted or not, but tonight at 5PM ET I turned on Galaxy 16 C-band (Lesea-1) to watch The Munsters on COZI TV, but to my surprise Hazel came on. At first, I thought it might be Antenna TV, but they air Hazel at a different time.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

The dishes and outdoor Christmas lights on the roof are ON tonight to start the Christmas season. The lights on the dishes are so bright, they light up our master bedroom. :) I wonder what the neighbors think. :)

Scott should hold a contest to see who can build a custom dish out of something unusual such as a trash can lid, round sled, window screen, etc. :) I have a notebook with plans on building a wooden dish, but like most of my ideas, I never had time to actually build the wooden dish. I once saw...

Sunday fiber time! Low cost fiber fta link.

I just looked up the cost of those Foxcom fiber optic transmitters and AL5R receiver. WOW! Great project, but I think I would install 5 RG/6 coax runs to save money. No update since last Sunday, what's taking so long? :)
