New Retro TV Channels Coming in 2014

I have to agree. I can watch some old re-runs forever. Our Gang and Little Rascals are 2 of my favorites. I think it has a lot to do with new format of the plots and stories on TV. Older shows stuck to a similar formula which was sort of a constraint or limiting factor, but it made viewing...

Contest: Enter to Win a GEOSATpro microHD STB and SL1PLL LNBF - Ends 5/31/2013 Midnight PDT

Growing up near the city in upstate NY, we would go on trips around the Adirondacks a lot when we were kids. It seemed like my dad didnt want to leave when we went. He never liked the city and you could tell when he had to go back to it every time. The vein on the side of his neck seemed to...

    Motorized FTA installation

I read every document I could find. I apologize if I missed the answer somewhere. If I had USLAS or a capable motor, that would make this a simple issue. Its a C band large dish with an actuator. trying to guess what 2 degrees is by eye hasnt been very productive. ;)

    FTA/Ku USALS on a Motorolla/G.I. 922??

I recently got some equipment given to me from a generous guy who doesnt really have time for the hobby anymore. Among the parts was a General Instruments (Motorolla) DSR922 (4DTV) receiver. I did a bit of reading and tried everything I could to see if I could use it for anything. I did...

    PBS Fixed dish LNB questions

I hope Im not adding too much here. But, that idea about using stronger signals is a good idea. What I did on a few was to tuned to a strong paid service by mistake, ran the motor away from it until signal dropped below like 30 percent. So, the meter still had a reading from the paid...

    PBS Fixed dish LNB questions

Im watching PBS using an SL2 bullet currently. I had some issues finding the sat until I started parking my dish, blind scanning, and moving in small increments (with motor) and blind scanning every couple of clicks. Even after finding it, tuning the signal better, I have a very hard time...
