    TV skip season is back!!

I have never received any kind of e-skip signal with digital TV here in central Connecticut. Of course I only have an old indoor antenna with two telescoping rods. The TV is on the second floor, next to a south-facing window. It's the only indoor antenna outside of an RCA "batwing" a few years...

Salisbury, MD adding MeTV and NBC in the next week

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this new NBC station is supposed to have its transmitter in Maryland, between Chesapeake Bay and Delaware? Isn't that going to be fairly distant for a low-power digital station?

Audio levels for digital TV stations on my DVD Recorder/VCR?

Yes, the recorder goes up to six hours. However, the picture tends to look really crappy once you're past the 4 hour mode. I edit the commercials in the pre-game and I skip over halftime. Without OT, it'll go at least 3.5 hours or so. I also have a spare blank DVD+RW disc on standby, in case OT...

Audio levels for digital TV stations on my DVD Recorder/VCR?

So the TV must be amplifying the incoming audio before it hits the speakers then. Again, the SAP was not on with either the TV or the DVD recorder/VCR. In my case, I need to record the over-the-air FOX signal since it's the only way I can watch the game live in HD.

Audio levels for digital TV stations on my DVD Recorder/VCR?

Greetings from New Britain, CT! This New Englander is VERY happy the Patriots are long gone! :D I presently have an antenna hooked up to my LG DVD Recorder/VCR combo (model #RC897T). I noticed something while recording the New England Patriots being eliminated from the playoffs on Sunday ( :D...

What one subchannel do you wish they would add to your market??

Hartford/New Haven doesn't have MeTV. Channel 43 in Bridgeport, CT airs it, but that's technically part of the New York City market. No cable system in Hartford County carries the Bridgeport station.

    BounceTV coming to more markets

We have it in Hartford/New Haven through LIN Broadcasting-owned WTNH-TV channel 8-2. I never watch it, though.

No Springfield, MA from New Britain, CT

I was wondering what my best options are for receiving Springfield, MA from New Britain, CT. I'm at the bottom of Walnut Hill, in the south end of the city. In the analog days, anything from Avon Mountain caused me problems. WFSB (CBS) was decent but not always 100%. I never got a reliable...

Improving my reception... or just out of luck?

This may be a strange question...but do you remember what you used to get there in the analog days...IF you've been there that long? (Pre-2009)

Is anyone running HD OTA in Delaware

Interesting spot for an antenna! I see that Milford, DE straddles the Kent and Sussex county line, with the north side considered to be in the Dover MSA and the extreme southern edge of the Philadelphia/Wilmington DMA. However, I think Salisbury, MD and WBOC-TV (CBS) channel 16 would be closer...

WFFF 44.2 (Burlington, Northern VT/NH/NY and Monreal) now off-air

Sounds like NYC, where WNYW-TV (FOX) channel 5 ran sister station WWOR-TV (MY) channel 9 on channel 5-2 and vice versa.

WFFF 44.2 (Burlington, Northern VT/NH/NY and Monreal) now off-air

@ Iceberg: Good question! Here in Hartford/New Haven, we get WTNH-TV channel 8-3 of New Haven. It's a simulcast of WTNH-TV 8-1 and the picture quality is HORRIBLE!

    HSN now on Ion affiliates

I usually get WHPX-TV at roughly ~75%. I watched WWE Main Event last Wednesday. I only saw one small dropout that hour. (I only watched because it was taped at the Mohegan Sun Casino and a coworker was at the show.)

    HSN now on Ion affiliates

WHPX-TV (ION) channel 26 of New London, CT (Hartford/New Haven) carries it all, up to 26-6. QVC Over-The-Air on channel 26-5 is a 16:9 picture being squeezed up into a 4:3 ratio. HSN on channel 26-6 is a down-converted 16:9 picture, which has the rectangle picture frame effect going on.

FCC approves sale of Flint-area NBC, CW affiliates to Sinclair Broadcast Group

Thank you for the explanation! The last time I visited up that way, it looked like their 10 PM news was produced by WGME-TV. :)

Small(er) Indoor OTA Antenna with good VHF-Hi coverage

Is that shelf behind it metal or plastic? Also, how do you not bang into that, taking out your shirts, jackets and what not? As for VHF channel 10, I know the feeling here in Hartford/New Haven. Somehow, an ancient VHF-rod only indoor antenna works for me! I have it near a...

FCC approves sale of Flint-area NBC, CW affiliates to Sinclair Broadcast Group

How is WPFO-TV (FOX) channel 23 of Waterville/Portland, ME on this list? I thought Sinclair only owns WGME-TV (CBS) channel 13 of Portland?

    Clear TV

I first rolled my eyes in disbelief...then doubled over in laughter! Are people viewing that commercial really just that stupid? WOW! Sadly, you know there are people out there who think over-the-air TV went away for good in 2009.
