Hate to ask the obvious but did you try both off and on? I remember only having the frequency and symbol rate on my AZBox Elite and had to find the FEC. I ran through each FEC once with the pilot off and then with the pilot on until I got the signal. Good old trial and error.

Have you tried grabbing the clamped boot by hand and move it down the tube by twisting and pulling it down bit by bit? You may just be able to get it to move a couple inches. If not you can always cut the clamp and replace it with a new hose clamp.

Make it a DIY gazebo for yourself only install it upside down and at an angle so you can use it as a fixed dish. Give it a dual purpose in life!
