    Bud Dish Availability in Canada

I got my 10 foot mesh by putting a add in kijiji and craigslist. Said I would take it down and haul it away for free. Got a number of reply's without having to search for them. I started with the 6 footer and found that would not do for me, you miss too many channels and feeds and many others...

    Installed cooling fan pansat 9200

I have use a few different types for fan cooling as well. All seem to work well, but I did not really find any difference in the way it operates. I just turn the power switch off at the front when I do use it (overnight etc...).

Trying to make reasonable decisions with the experience and knowledge of a novice

If getting a new receiver now, it should be the AZBOX Premium +. Now has new non-failing power supplies It has very good blind scan and gets every type of feed we want. Like many here, I have many boxes and now use the AZBOX Elite(no blind scan), and the Pansat 9200 HD(with S2+ board). Note on...

Neighbor may want me to move BUD

I don't think you will ever be able to get along with this guy. But you will have to move the dish. I'd move it even just to protect it, 'cause you know he will be take shots and pokes at it out of spite. Depending what he is putting up, and where. Is it going to interfere with your dish seeing...

    pansat 9200 dead?

A lot of times when I am not using it, I just turn it off by the main power switch (not soft off). Try to save it for as long as I can. Tried every kind of fan combo and it helped to cool it, but did not really help much or at all for freezing. Where do you get the new power supplies from...

New dish, where to go next

You will get a good chunk with the 6', you just have to be sure you are actually on a satellite. Go to the list on this site and find a transponder to use with your receiver. Gal 17 91ºW, Gal 16 99ºW or Gal 23 121ºW are good strong ones to go for. In your antenna settings make sure to adjust...

looking to expand into the c world

You will for sure get a better signal if you can pull off the 8', it will make the difference in getting the ones that are on the edge of break-up or not getting at all. Should even get S2 if set up well. I started with the 6' Fortec as well. I now use a 10' mesh. With my 6' I would get RFDTV...

Newbie here, looking to get into C-band

Maple, Or you can save the trouble from running another long cable and just add a short one from the loop out of your Digital box to in on your C-Band receiver (with a $2.00 Voltage Blocking Coupler - known as a DC blocker) on the C-Band receiver end. Saves cable ;) Mapleleaf69, know anyone...

Newbie here, looking to get into C-band

For sure take it, even if you do get cable or small dish too. A good amount of channels if you have a digital box to go with the old Analogue C-Band receiver (dish turner). A good amount of HD too and "extras" if you have watched that dish in the past then you know about sports feeds etc... A...

    installation help

You can put the dish anywhere around your house. It just has to point to the south and see a good portion of the Southern sky to track the satellites along the arc.

    Motorized 6foot issues

blind, If you want to and keep trying you will get it. I used my 6' Fortecstar up till this November when I swapped it out with a 10 footer I found. I had mine set from 72º AMC6 - 139º AMC8. Tracked fine, just a much lower signal then the bigger ones. Some boomed other weaker ones were right on...

What are the signs of a flaky LNBF

Hmmm... Just running through posts through the site, and I am seeing the same type of question being asked. So I think I may have the answer.... cold weather.

Can the cold affect the LNB?

I just posted the same type of question in another section. This is happening to me as well since the colder weather hit, I am in the same sort of area you are. I turn it off and on and flip it back and forth till it comes back to normal. I have a cheapo LNBF on mine though. I have a back-up...

What are the signs of a flaky LNBF

The last couple of days when watching my C-Band dish, when I turn it on, some channels will come on and some will stay off. Or the signal to all will be very low. I turn the power off and on and flip the channels back and forth, until after a little while it will all come on normal (not sure if...
