    Dish Network in Baja Mexico

That is correct, as long as you have a US account address, the dish is large enough, and is pointed at either the 119° or 129° satellite.

    Signal Strength in Mexico

I'll ask our techs in Todos Santos what they're seeing. Hadn't heard anything from our customers but they never call to say things are "better." :) I'll be visiting a 1.5 meter, dual-dish we set up in Zacatitos this next week so will take a look at the TP levels there. It would be nice to get...

We mainly use DishPro and generic LNBs. 72.7° does not have coverage into Baja California Sur so, no, haven't tried it.

    Dish Network in Baja Mexico

A caution about this. E doesn't like multiple receivers on the same account that are not all connected to a US phone line. They can and will audit such accounts for "account stacking", especially when there are three or more receivers. Safer if you can get an RV waiver (if they still issue them...

Probably, it's Dish Mexico, not Dish Network U.S. Totally different.

119° you can pick up with a 1 meter dish, not well but you can pick it up. Better with a 1.2 to 1.8. 129° also comes in here, and we use it on dual-dish HD installs. Signal level is roughly on a par with the 119° 110° doesn't reach us with enough signal to be usable on a 8' or less.

We have a couple of Dish Network clients in Merida using dual antenna setups, with one dish on the 110° satellite. Also 77° should be pretty strong in your area. You may be able to regain some of your channels that way. DISH Network on EchoStar 10/11 at 110.0°W - LyngSat Check you PM about...

Amazing that the signal could cut off so steeply/completely. East of the line reads 110 cm. West of the line reads 450 cm. SatBeams - Satellite Coverage Maps - Sat Footprint Directv 5 (TEMPO 1) / Directv 6 (Tempo 2) / Echostar 10 (Echostar X) / Echostar 11 (Echostar XI)

Interesting. Looks like you still have TP 20 on a 1.1 while Cozumel doesn't? Maybe someone can post some updated signal readings from there.

Not all. Just the locals from the So. Florida spot beams, and Dish Network's NY locals on TP20. You can still get NY and SF on TP15.

What size is your dish? You may be able to get the HD locals from LA and/or Chicago but you will need a dish on the 110° satellite and an HD-enabled receiver and TV.

Local Network Channels If you have DN reception, we can set anyone up with the local networks from SF, NY or both SF and NY. In Mexico or in the US. Send me a PM or Email to alan [-a t-] BajaSatellite dot com. We've set up several folks in Puerto Vallarta and most recently in Cozumel and Merida.

Deja Vu all over again... A few years ago, DirecTV customers in Mexico experienced the same thing as DN customers are going through now. They swapped out their satellite at the 101° and cut signal into Mx. It was "Bye bye DTV" and many of their customers switched to Dish Network.
