my tivos have historically been rock soild. my dish dvrs varied from trash to at best decent, and had fees fees and more fees. my theory has always been dish compartimises the software to make hacking by insiders more difficult.. sadly that made the boxes software unfinished.......

all dish subs are testers. often they report all sorts of bugs here........... very sad, you shouldnt have to be a tech to watch tv
