    Dish/DirecTV Some Differences

D* is not rapidly adding anything but channels you have to pay extra to get like HBO and on demand stuff. When they start adding actual national TV channels, then maybe you can make that claim. Edit: so I don't sound like a "fanboy", I have D*.

Question about using 622/722 for two room viewing

If I had a 622/722 in the Living Room and if I wanted to hook it to two TV's I know I can use the TV2 output. The problem is, the second output doesn't do HD and I have a 52" LCD in the Living Room and a 46" in the bedroom. What I want to be able to do is watch shows that are recorded on the...

HD game not available in HD

I was just watching it on channel 445 in HD. Dish sucks with RSN's all the time. There were 90+ games in HD this year and I bet Dish only carried 2/3 of them in HD.

    Vs. Channel

Is it just me or did Dish move Vs. channel (151) to AT200? Because I was just scrolling through today and dont ever remember it being there. I must be wrong, but i just simply dont remember it.

We humbly thank you for our meager restitution...

:up:up:up:up Add a real channel....who cares about news channels in HD. They are great if we had 100 national channels, but right now I couldnt agree more.....waste of BW.

***Just got DISH, finally!! Couple quick questions...***

That is right, if it says you are recording on TV2 then you will be watching the program you are recording if you were to turn on TV2, even if you are not watching TV1. It doesnt recognize which tv's are on and record to the one that is off. You have to manually set which tv to record too...

Help 622 stopped in the middle of bowl game!

I had basically the same exact problem when I first had mine installed. The tech hooked it up and it worked fine, then it just rebooted out of the blue. Then again, then again like every 5 minutes or so and had to hard reboot each time which takes like 5 minutes. Finally it was working for...

    Sound issues

I have a 622 and a 211. At first, I had the TV2 from the 622 connected to my bedroom tv via a coax cable and the sound on my tv was really low on the lowest setting. Now I switched it so that the 211 is hooked to the bedroom tv via component cables and the sound on my tv on the lowest setting...

Bad news regarding Dish and "DRM"

Its too bad people dont band together and just stop watching TV altogether and show these douchebags how the masses can strike back against these shenanigans. I like too watch a few shows that I never miss, but I dont need to watch them. I would rather miss them and hit them where it hurts...

Bad news regarding Dish and "DRM"

This is so true. No matter what "protection" you put on something, there is always someone smart enough to crack it. Look at all the modchips for ps/ps2/xbox and soon enough ps3/xbox360 (if it hasnt happened yet). If someone can create protection, someone else can crack it. I know its not as...

    Hd Sound Is Softer ?

I have the same problem and I have an onkyo receiver. I changed the output on the onkyo to "All Channel Stereo" for all inputs (HD or SD), instead of having it go between Dolby and stereo. I know stereo isnt as good as dolby, but for just watching tv who cares. If I watch a movie it goes to...

    Interesting E* FCC Filing

This probably isnt good for us customers of E*. They already arent trying to compete with D* on the new HD channels, now they will take satellite(s) from the service part and try to "cram" more channels into the rest? That just means less BW for everything else. I like E* and it would take...

Question regarding 211 HD receiver signal

Hi, Can someone please tell me if it is possible to split the signal from a 211 box to two seperate TV's? I have a 211 in my bedroom and would like to set it up to watch it in the bedroom or on the bathroom TV. I dont want to get another box just so my wife can watch TV for 1 hour in the...
