Wow, intro deals keep getting worse and worse

Yes, but I am having trouble getting a clear picture of what all is in each pack; I keep getting "Sorry we are having trouble...try again" errors on their website. That said I think they have spread the channels around in such a way that it wouldn't make sense for a family like mine.

Wow, intro deals keep getting worse and worse

I do expect some ebb and flow with deals, but they seem to just be trending to get worse and worse. Like I said, maybe DISH is focusing more on retaining customers now. By starting this thread, I had hoped people would chime in to confirm or deny that theory. All I know is my past experience...

Wow, intro deals keep getting worse and worse

Despite what you think, you don't know much of anything about me. Congrats on acting like a jerk!

Wow, intro deals keep getting worse and worse

Are they? I can no longer find the "normal" pricing on their website. That makes it really hard to compare.

Wow, intro deals keep getting worse and worse

That isn't what I am thinking -- instead it is giving me a bad vibe with DISH.

Wow, intro deals keep getting worse and worse

Every time I consider coming back to DISH, I look at their intro-pricing deals and surprisingly they keep getting worse and worse. When I first looked, it was 2-year lock at $50/month (for the 120+ package) and that included DVR service. Then it went to a 3-year lock but the price no longer...

Dish is ultra aggressive to keep customers

They never offered it but would have only accepted with a 12-month contract (or less).

Dish is ultra aggressive to keep customers

Nope, not when adding TV to my Charter internet effectively gave me a lower price!!! That and I read about DISH offering much better deals to a lot of other people. I had been with them for over 7 years, never paid late, perfect credit, and had been out of contact for at least couple years...

Dish is ultra aggressive to keep customers

WOW -- the best they would offer me was $15 off for 24 months (or $25/off for 10 months). Oh well, I decided to leave... Did they call you with that offer or did you call them?

Thanks (thomasjk) I was hoping that would be the case.

    Cancelled dish

I have another question. I know I won't have access to my EHD when my account/service is Paused -- but if I un-Pause then will I again have access to all the programing already recorded on the EHD (prior to Pausing)?
  12. S

    Cancelled dish

Yes, I found out that suspending is called DISH Pause and that I should be able to have access to my programs record internally during that time -- at least according to what I read in this thread: http://www.satelliteguys.us/xen/threads/dish-pause-and-hd-free-for-life.346055/

    Cancelled dish

What if I just Suspend my DISH service (for $5/month) - will I be able to watch programs already recorded on the 722 (not the EHD)? Should I disconnect the satellite lines and/or the ethernet before doing so?

First Look: TV2 IR Converter Kit

True, but some people like the non-DISH remotes like their Harmony remotes. I have a Sony universal/programmable remote (with macros) that I am partial too, and it's easier for the wife if the exact same model remote is in every room -- so that's why I originally bought this item years ago (for...

    Cancelled dish

Thanks for the info! I was hoping that would be the case -- so that I could finish up watching some things for a few weeks before I return the unit. I'll make space and move some things back over from the EHD before canceling service.

    Cancelled dish

When I cancel my DISH service and am waiting for the box to return my 722 rec'r -- will I still be able to watch the shows already recorded on the 722 DVR?

First Look: TV2 IR Converter Kit

My thinking was that one might have a hopper or joey connected two two different televisions (that are never in use at the same time) and want to be able to control it from two locations. And being able to do that could save on having to rent an additional joey. But alas it appears this device...

Would this kit be useful for a Hopper or Joey?

dying 722 -- will DISH replace with a 722K & the OTA tuner module (for FREE)?

Yes, at the old house he originally tested on the roof (with his handheld meter) and saw good levels. Then we he got inside and saw much lower numbers (according to the 722), he then connected the handheld meter there and saw good numbers again. So it really must be my 722. Thanks for all the...

dying 722 -- will DISH replace with a 722K & the OTA tuner module (for FREE)?

I am getting the feeling if I just have my 722 replaced with another 722 (meaning I don't specifically ask for a 722K) then it will not be considered an equipment upgrade -- and therefore won't require a new 2 year agreement. Is that correct?

dying 722 -- will DISH replace with a 722K & the OTA tuner module (for FREE)?

I do not believe is it dish pointing issue, because when the installer tests the signal levels with a handheld meter he gets good values (in the 80s) but that cable is connected to my 722 it reports much lower signal levels (30s-50s). The installer observed this problem at both my my old (where...

But will they give me the separate OTA module too?

    DISH Price Increase 1/17/2013 (UPDATED!)

You misread my post -- it already mentions that I see the credit! I am wondering if I will still get that credit (for the full 18 months) if I drop from AT120+ to AT120.

dying 722 -- will DISH replace with a 722K & the OTA tuner module (for FREE)?

BTW DISH installer mentioned he thinks my 722 dying because he is seeing drastically lower signal on the 722 than he sees with his meter connected directly to the DISH. This was noted at my old house AND my new house (I recently moved and took advantage DISH Mover). I had the same installer...

dying 722 -- will DISH replace with a 722K & the OTA tuner module (for FREE)?

I am currently not under contract and would be willing to go back on -- as long DISH replaces my dying 722 with a 772K and the OTA tuner (for free). Has anyone successfully done this already?
