No end in sight Eh?

Nat Geo is one of my favorite channels. The reason I havent switched yet is because I dont want to give comcast all my money and att uverse is not available.

Is this going to be resolved or should i switch providers?

I live in chicago and im really disappointed with the pic quality of the HD Local chanels. Dish is lucky that Comcast doesnt televise what i watch at a normail hour, otherwise id switch.

Does anyone know when Dish is launching HD locals in the chicago market?

i have 2 dish 500's, they never told me i needed to upgrade to a dish1000

i just got my new receiver, activated it and everything seems ok. Altho i feel like ive been lied to. There are no local hd channels. Freakin Dish.

i always sent out my subs with extra equipment. the more boxes they install, the more money they make.

thats what i did. wait time was 15+ minutes, and also their computers are running very slow. total time on the phone was about 30 mins.

i didnt see anything posted as far as an updated channel line up. does anyone know of a new one? Just subscribed to HD Platinum. Are the local HD channels goin to be broadcast on their current channels or did they get switched?

The CSR told me if i did not return the old receiver that i would be charged for it.

i got out of it. im not paying 100 bucks for someone to install more dishes on my crib.

Just got off the phone. getting the 211 in 7-10 days, 49 dollar fee. CSR issued me an RA# for the return of the 811 receiver. dam shoulda had the new receiver shipped 2nd day air or something. BTW, CSR did not say that i needed to have a new dish installed.

yea she just corrected herself. now im starting to have less and less faith in the CSR's.

Im on the phone right now with a CSR. Currently have a 811 receiver. She just informed me that i can upgrade my programming without upgrading equipment. Is this correct?

i am goin to call Comcast and DirecTV to see what they can do for me. unfortunately i am on a contract with Dish so i will have to pay a penalty.

I just told the Customer Service Rep that i think im gonna switch service, her response:thats entirely your choice. wow, Dish is suckin in my book. i used to work for the cable company in my younger days, when a customer threatened to disco we would do everything in our power to keep them online.

man i think im just gonna switch to Direct TV. this is a bunch of BS.

Dam, i just got off the phone with customer service. She said she doesnt know anything about HD Locals. The only thing she is aware of is they are adding some additional channels to their Voom Lineup. She said i need a new receiver to get those channels. Why the hell do i have to pay for a new...

what the hell!?!??!?! i just got dish like 4 months ago. man i should have just gotten comcast.

So will i need to get a new receiver come Feb 1st? or will i be able to pickup HD Locals through my current HD Receiver ?
