Are several RSNs and sports networks still part time HD on Dish? If so, which ones are part time and which ones are full time? I've looked around trying to find a good list, but it's hard to find anything solid. Thanks in advance!

It looks like you're in the Rapid City TV market. Dish Network only carries SD local channels in your area.

I'm sure it's no coincidence that those are all states with a statewide network of PBS stations that simulcast the same broadcast. It seems unlikely that they would make them available to customers in other states, but it's odd that they have them up there for $2 as if they are going to charge...

Thanks for posting them! I'm amused by the "College Football on Dish Network" slide. TBS hasn't broadcast college football games since 2006. CBS only carries 2 game maybe two weeks out of the season. Usually its just the one 3:30 ET afternoon game. The ESPN/ABC weekly count is even a stretch...

I've run into the same problem online. When I called, they removed (in my case the HD Extra Pack) without any questions.

WPCH (Peachtree TV) will be the local SEC Network affiliate for the Atlanta TV market. If you live in a different market, those games could be on a local channel (depending on where you live). They'll also be carried on various RSNs.

If that is the case, then why is it always said that an MSO (Dish or otherwise) has "reached an agreement" to carry the HD version of a channel? I have a difficult time believing that these so-called agreements do not involve money.

Indeed they weren't used for broadcast. But a lot of people have old movies on VHS tapes and DVDs, and they might be under the impression that was the highest quality those films were available in.

Whoa, that is not the case everywhere. Here, Comcast charges $7.95/month for HD even though they offer far fewer channels than either of the satcos.

Just FYI since I feel I may have mislead you before, I now believe DirecTV is actually providing NBC HD from New York to Dothan. Since they are mapping it to channel 12, I get the impression they may change it to WSFA when the Montgomery locals launch in October. No way to be certain about it...
