I get it too, I already made a new thread about it but I will warn you here also. Do not force a power down manually (by holding the power button in for 5 seconds) durning one of these lockups or it will wipe the entire disk of all your recordings. I learned that the hard way.

Could it be that you lost the channel setting for tuner 2? I would double check it in your settings to make sure, especially if you changed it from default originally.

Well, that's certainly one way to prevent recording a choppy show. Now all the have to do is take away single mode, drop us down to L1.69 and we'll be back to square one ;)

I used to be able to rewind a program and hit the record button, it would know that I wanted to record from the point I rewinded it til the end of the event. It appears that this doesn't work now, it will only record the show that is currently in progress. :confused:

Same thing here, even with 206 it's still jumpier than a chicken with it's head cut off. I love the 522 with the exception of this problem, however it is so bad most of the time that it's simply unwatchable for the most part unless it's live TV. Really, it's a shame that they aren't addressing this.

I would bet that the skipping issue came out with Dual mode (1.69 to 2.01) and they have yet to be able to resolve it out short of replacing the box. That being the case, it's pretty unlikely they would ever admit it so they tell every customer they have never heard of it and their issue is...

Last night as I was watching a show that I had paused and played and during it's normal skipping (which is all the freakin time) I noticed that it beeped during the skips. Must be another new feature :p

I have heard that they will send out an email to your receiver in some cases when they update but I have yet to see one myself. The only way I have ever learned about updates is either through forums like this or by checking my system info.
