Damn it. Just signed up for DirecTV. Wasn't sure if Rochester, MN was really going to happen or not being Charlie promised it "soon" many months ago. STILL, not a single regret going D* instead of E*!

Scott knows more about this then I do....actually that's where I got my information from. I haven't looked into anymore after realizing I'd be better off with DirecTV and a slingbox pro, especially with all their new customer deals right now.

Last I heard it only works with OLD firmware. If you've updated it, it most likely won't work. LAME.....and that helped with my satellite provider decision. My DirecTV service was installed yesterday!

It's not mentioned, but I would hope the 922 can also be accessed by the standard SlingPlayer Mobile 2.0 on my Windows Mobile 6.5 phone. Is this what you understand? Jason

According to Lt Disher in another thread, it is offically stated that it supports 1 TV and the DuoDVR nomenclature has been dropped. Also, the $21 receiver fee reported earlier appears to now be $17. If that $21 receiver fee reported earlier was what they were going to charge when the TV2...

.....which is lame. The only way to TV2 in HD is via sling....which means you can't use the coolest feature....being able to watch shows remotely via sling.....at least not without disabling viewing in the room with the HD extender. Yeah, come on...why not an extra HDMI port. Or why not...

Absolutely that would be HUGE news....and would really help justifying that price. I'll be curious if Scott has any more to say on that subject. :) If that is true, I would get 2 of them for sure!

2nd room SD is worthless to me, so I'd never have a 722 or 622 on my account. The 922 does not give you two rooms of HD unless you buy sling hardware. That isn't an option for me as the sling is for PC and remote use......and can't be tied up for 2nd room use. 2nd room hd support not...

No, that part (the 2nd room HD via sling) is working....so I think your initial assumption was correct.

Yeah, that was a major miss on my part. Unless they enable ROOM2 again and you could get the Slingbox to use and control the ROOM2 feed would that advantage go away. GOOD CATCH!

Your absolutely right, I'm sure they would. That's why I said "Assume this will be a 2nd receiver....for argument's sake instead of hiding the fees as a first receiver." Yeah, it would only have the full affect if you had two 922s on the account, otherwise you wouldn't see the $21 receiver...

When ROOM2 and Sling were enabled (and if it's enabled again), what were the viewing rules?? Assume the 922 has the OTA module. If Room 2 was watching SAT2, Room 1 was watching SAT1....what could SLING watch? A mirror of what ROOM2 is watching on SAT2??? Could SLING change the channel...
