Is Amazon Prime even available on the Hopper 3? I don’t have it on my HWS.

If you have a Roku, Amazon FireStick or Apple TV then you have PBS onDemand through the PBS app. No subscription is required and the App will configure itself to your local PBS station to show even the locally produced shows.

Where in the diagnostics menu does it show the status of snap?

Two things I don’t like about the fire stick: 1. You cannot key in channel numbers directly, you have to scroll up or down through the guide. 2. ( the biggest pain) Having to reauthorize it with your Dish account every month or so.

YouTube is also missing on the Joey 4K.

There is Chromium, the open source version of Chrome; Edge, the Windows 10 browser based on Chromium or Opera.

The Dishanywhere app on the Firestick does work well but two big drawbacks are 1.) having to continually having to reauthorize it and 2.) not being able to easily enter channel numbers.

How would you rate the sensitivity of the AirTv tuner for weak OTA channels?

Since last August even my strongest OTA station pixelates on my Joey 4K and Joey 2.0 . However if I tune my HWS to that OTA station the pixelation on the Joeys stop. I have the older single tuner USB dongle.

The iPhone and iPad DishAnywhere apps do have an easy to use Mirroring option built right in to the app that works fairly well.

The same fix works for live. Tune the Hopper to the OTA station and the pixelation on the the Joey ( and DishAnywhere app) will clear up. Works for me.

Sounds like a plan. I set a timer to auto tune the program series that comes on right before the series I want to record on the OTA channel. Should work!

On the Joeys and DishAnywhere app the pixelation does not stop until the Hopper is tuned to the OTA station no matter how long the station is on. As long as the Hopper is on a Satellite channel it continues. Seemingly recording OTA behaves in the same way so I suspect that padding the start...

The OTA module is a separate add on unit. It’s troubles are not exclusive to the Wally.

Jeez that is the third update that people here have noted that I haven’t received. Hopefully I will see one soon. I am anxious to see if they have corrected the OTA pixelating problem that started on the HWS with an update last September .

Yes. I have a HWS and Joey 4K. But my problem started about two months ago with the update of U237. The breaking up comes and goes even on OTA stations with close to 100% signal strength. I did report it to a DIRT member. You might want to do the same.
