i don't have dish anymore, but am very excited for charlie and everyone that has dish. he did a really good job with this. this might even to think about joining back up when we move in our new house.
good work scott with all the info you are providing.
i emailed through the savemychannels site when it first came out. i think that was months ago. i just got a reply from my senator yesterday. below is what he sent.
Thank you for contacting me regarding distant television signals transmitted by direct broadcast satellite services. I...
1. depending on your location, this can be normal.
2. dish messes up on the orders all the time. this is normal.
3. with dish, you have to pay 200 bucks for the privelage of leasing the receiver.
dish is going to sell these boxes and as soon as they are all gone they will announce the transition to mpeg4 and charge people to upgrade this piece of crap.
i agree with pee on the equipment lease charges. cable and fios can provide the same product and it is probably more stable at no up front cost. why can't dish?
when i had cable, my scientific atlantic 8300 was more stable than anything dish ever provided and i did not have to pay...
i actually left dish for cable, then left cable for fios.
left cable for the special year program, and the mismanagment by dish at the time. left cable for fios because of the picture quailty.
