If the 722 is your main receiver then you are not charged the extra receiver fee. I believe you would be charged the DVR fee though, unless they can disable it, which I don't know.

Thanks for the reply, thats what I thought. I don't really care if I get the SD locals or not, as long as I have the HDs. I will also be using an OTA to double up on HD locals.

Will the 722/k get an upgrade to the menu software that the 922 has. The GUI on the 922 is much better than the 722 and would be great if the 722 got this upgrade. Anyone heard anything? I understand most features will not work like the 922 but just a simple GUI update would be great.

I always thought that to do the move from SD / HD to HD they would have to replace all the legacy SD receivers in people's homes that do not have HD tvs. I would imagine many older receivers cannot receive an HD channel and downconvert to SD, they just don't have the correct hardware to handle...
