I figure we got knocked off because of AMC14 delay in getting to orbit. And/Or they are going to use our spot beam for LIN stations, which would get them into a market D* doesn't have. OR they are going to use the bandwidth for national-hd. Hopefully they'll get us in a few months.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Dish has 24 HD nationals (includes the 5 HD-PPV). They lost 4 TPs (28 HD channels). Dish has said they'll have 100 HD channels by the end of the year. If that's 100 HD national channels, and not HD-LIL then Dish still has room to add 48 HD channels. I could live with...

If someone wants stretch of vision they can stretch the sd channel. However, a channel that shows some HD (like SciFi-HD or Speed HD) then Voom would be worth replacing with them. Unless Voom comes up with some new programming. Right now Voom is just taking up bandwidth IMO.

I don't use the PPV at all. I rent from Netflix. If they are not available in HD-DVD format I just get the DVD. I can always catch the HD version on one of the premium station.

Same here. Started about a month ago. I see it mostly on recorded stuff. But that's what I watch the most. I just figured Dish is working on their system. Trying to make room or tweak mpeg4 or something along those lines.

Ditto! I signed up with Dish through Dishstore a couple of months ago. It was the easiest, most pleasant install I've had. With Directv and Comcast there were some problems. Not big problems but they required a few phone calls.

It is true for the IR remote. My VIP622 wouldn't response to the IR remote (TV-1). Dish told me that some LCD sets causes IR interference for 20-30 minutes. They sent me another UHF remote and it works for TV-1.
