I remember finding sweet spots for the move that kept you within your spot beam and was far enough out to qualify for two of the six other distant locals. I lived in Vegas, picked up spot beam for Sacramento and added Denver and Atlanta. Great selection.

YouTube TV with a dab of Philo works great. I'd never consider going back to either Dish or DirecTV.

If you get a "Dish Mexico" dish, you can get a limited package of US channels with some locals on 77. A few city's locals are available in HD and the rest would be SD.

I think the worst bug in the 811 was when you left it tuned to an OTA channel overnight, the guide data would not be available the next morning. Would require either a download or a reboot. I switched to DirecTV with Tivo HD when I moved away from Dish. I continued to tune to a satellite...

I can't believe, after seven years, a customer would stay with Dish if that was an issue for them. It seemed to me that any sports fan in NY would have chosen a different provider LONG ago.
