Seems like Dish missed one heck of an opportunity my not putting an HD or better camera on the satellite. The quality of the Dish earth channel really sucks at best.

When is dish expected to launch the next two satellites?

I know that answering this question requires a lot of speculation and assumptions (ie, Sats going up and working as scheduled), but what do you think Dish will look like in a year?

Just got off the phone with Dish Technical Assistance, and one that could speak English fluently and was actually in America (unless she was lying of course). She said that if the 722 was hooked up to the Internet, it would cover the other receivers on the account, and that there was no need...

Okie dokie. I've gotten 6 different responses with about 4 different answers. Is there and actual Dish Tech out there that knows the answer 100% for sure?

I have a VIP 722 and two 322's, all connected to a phone line. I will be connecting the 722 via the Ethernet port to call in. Once I do that will to continue to have the 322's hooked up to a phone line or will the 722 cover the requirement to call in. I'm wanting to do away with my home phone.

I would say that you would need to run two of them parallel, with a 7777 pre amp and put them on a tower as high as you can. Then I think you would be able to pick them up. Without the two, it would be "iffie". but since the 4228 is pretty cheap, worth a try.

As soon as the next E* sat goes up, the programming will be the same. Hopefully E will show all the HD in full resolution and bit rate. Equipment by far is better.

Living that close, you should be able to pick it up with rabbit ears. I live about 50 miles out and can't get anything without a roof top antenna.

The channel master 4228 with a good quality pre-amp (ie 7777) on a pole would work best if you live outside of Indy. Since all the HD physical channels are 9 or above, the UHF 4228 works fantastic. Warren electronics is a great place to get channel master items, as well as many other brands...

The bottom line is money. The locals and dish can not agree on terms. As of right now, INDY isn't on the "coming in the near (or far) future list".
