The appropriate time to protest is on their time. The appropriate time to protest is not durring the national anthem. Those men an women serve and have died for yours, mine, and that idot Kapernicks freedoms. It's not about BLM. It's about showing respect for all who have sacraficed everything...

How many people here are "moved"?

Do you have to call in to move, or can you do it online? I'm thinking of coming back to Dish, from D*.

    Cancelled

I just set a cancel date for Directv. It ends in about 2 weeks. I just got an offer in the mail for Dish, that includes a $300 gift card. I must say that I am very tempted. I may try out a few streaming services first though.

DISH not required to give credits when channels go dark...

If people don't like the agreements, then go with cable. Most of them tend not to require a two year contract. It's really quite simple. If your provider has too many disputes for you, then just switch providers.

    Does DISH have a future?

It's a very interesting time in the T.V. industry. I know my son who lives in a suburb of Philly, puts up his antenna, and has hulu and netflix for his T.V. needs. His friends all do the same, and swear they would never pay for cable or satellite T.V. Over football season he gets the sling...

    sick of disputes

Sports are very popular. If they did this, that would mean a lot less viewers for a lot of the non sports channels, which would mean those channels would fold up and be no more. It's a two way street, and one of the reasons we haven't seen Ala carte yet. Me personally, I would love this...

    NFL Network Dispute? -- Resolved

I do realize that Dish gives you that choice, and that is a nice feature. I would have to bet though, that your average customer who calls to sign up, and doesn't frequent sites like this, knows nothing about all of those older receivers, and is steered in the direction of the Hopper if they...

    NFL Network Dispute? -- Resolved

The broken record is u guys all praising how much cheaper Dish is. With a equal setup (genie, hopper) savings are marginal at best, so all of these disputes aren't really going back into the consumers pocket. Live sports is one of the main reasons not to "cut the cord". If Dish continues to...

    NFL Network Dispute? -- Resolved

Underestimate the power of the NFL, do you? The NFL is HUGE, and the NFL network having exclusive games will just hurt even worse. Redzone and fantasy go together like peas and carrots. Dish will loose a substantial number of subs if they don't get it back.

    NFL Network Dispute? -- Resolved

I bet all the main providers combined don't equal the amount of disputes that Dish has. When the others have a dispute, it usually doesn't take months to settle. It's usually done within a week. Roku may be popular, but it's not what people signed up for. The few on here know how to use Roku's...

    NFL Network Dispute? -- Resolved

In my opinion, yes they are ridiculous. They have more disputes than any of the providers. I'm paying a lot of money, and don't want a Roku, or some other device to deal with. I just want to turn on T.V., have it work, and get the channels that I signed up for. I believe this is why I am...

    NFL Network Dispute? -- Resolved

Glad it's working for you. If your somewhat tech savy, and live where you can get OTA (I don't), then yes, your setup is pretty slick, and you can save some $$$. But for an average Joe, that's tough to setup. I have a hard enough time just getting the wife to understand inputs on a T.V. Part of...

Your saving money, but have an inferior product. If it works for you, and u don't mind loosing channels from time to time, and don't need the extra tuners for recording, or the whole home dvr, that's great. Some of us drive a Caddy, others a Fiesta. I choose the Caddy.

    NFL Network Dispute? -- Resolved

Charlie has no NY RSN's, now fighting with the NFL network, and the other dispute with locals. Every other month it's a new dispute with this company. For all of the dusputes, Dish should be half the cost of D* or cable, but that just isn't the case. A comparable package with what I have...

    NFL Network Dispute? -- Resolved

For all of these disputes, you would think that Dish's prices should be much cheaper than other providers, which really isn't the case. If they sign, I would think it should be cheaper than what the other providers are paying for the same channels. I mean, they keep doing this, so it must...

    Might come back to satellite

Not sure if this is still an issue with Dish or not, but I remember when I had their service, timers that overlapped on the same channel took both tuners for those few minutes of overlap. I remember getting a pop up box to switch to that channel quite often. Not sure if the hopper still does...

Thinking about coming back to Dish

Do any of you guys know when the new remotes are coming out, and if they will be included with new installs? I saw it on the web site, touch screen remote with voice commands. It looks pretty cool.

Thinking about coming back to Dish

With baseball, they really need to fix the velcro on the batting gloves. For some reason when a pitch goes by, the batter has to step out of the box and adjust the straps on his batting gloves. Must be the wind from the pitch that loosens them up?

Thinking about coming back to Dish

I have the HR34 now also, and I do love it. Never have any recording conflicts because on the other T.V.'s, the receivers are independent tuners for a total of 8. Five them being on the Genie available for recording. It is my understanding that with a super joey setup I would have 5 tuners for...
