I'm seriously considering switching to Dish as well. Been with DirecTV for years, but really tired of the $140+ monthly charge. I have the Genie 1 and been trying to find out what I'll miss if I move on to Dish.

I'm curious to that as well. If I call up to cancel, I want to be committed to it should I not get an offer. In which I would be willing to immediately call up and get Dish's new customer offer.

I had 2 episodes of a series recorded. Clicked play on the main title so it would play them both consecitivly, and it played them out of order.

I have the Genie as well as 3 older DVR's. I've been wanting to get a Genie Mini client to replace one of the DVR's. Being how small they are, can it be mounted behind a wall mounted tv and have the remote still be functional?

So, any known issues with the Genie HR-44? Have had this on for a couple of hours now, and it has powered itself off twice now while watching recorded programs that are on a networked DVR. I power it back up, and restart the show. Concerned what will happen if this happens while it is recording...

Install was easy. Only thing he switched out was something on the dish itself, and then the Genie box.

I'll be keeping 3 of the DVR's and the Genie will be replacing the 4th. So sounds like more cables will need to go through the exterior wall of the house?

Ok, sorry for the confusion guys. The pic below shows the device I was referring to that is mounted on the outside of the house. One cable from the actual dish goes into this, and then the 4 going out of it and into the house go to each of the DVR's. Hope this makes more sense.

Yes, I have that. I can view what HAS been recorded, but how can I view the To Do list on the other receivers? Like what is going to be recorded in the future. If I need to double check if a show is going to be recorded, I don't want to have to run to the other room to pull up the menu. Or like...

The last three nights Fox has not been broadcast in HD. So the American Idol finale was not in HD!!! I've just emailed the local affiliate and DirecTV. Anyone know of any issues going on with Fox besides them sueing Dish, which shouldn't have anything to do with this. It would also be nice too...

Receivers came today. One is a HR20 and the other is a HR22. I already have an HR20. New to the HR22, any known issues with it?
