Are the International Channels supposed to be low quality?

Are the International Channels supposed to be low quality?

My Mandarin channels are SD, but looks awful. When I subscribed to cable, SD channels looked very good... well, at least the ones that were 480p/i. The source/etc looks to be much lower definition than that.

Fed-up DirecTV subscribers turn up the volume on hidden fees

I just think it's somewhat hypocritical to act like a jerk to someone, and when they retaliate, you act like a victim. It's like going into McDonald's and mouthing off at the manager.
