    Direct TV gets their guide data from tribune media, AKA the zap2it website, and it does indeed tag shows with "new" in addition to the original air date. So the data is already there. Direct just needs to use it.

    So today, 3 shows set to record, all 3 showing as cancelled in the history due to programming update, two of them did indeed record. Game of Thrones did not record. So irritating.

    I just this past week switched to direct from Dish. I'm coming from a VIP722 to a HR34 and can tell you, without a doubt, the HR34 is slower. I get this weird hang every 5 clicks or so on the remote if i'm zipping through the guide. And channels take a second longer to tune than on the 722...
