Hi, I have a SL-3 dish, 99-101-103. My elevation is 10 degrees. since bracket doesn't go that low, id like to do inverted setup. 10+(40 deg) = 50 degrees then... so 101 will work great, but won't 99 and 103 be flip-flopped and the SWM lnb is hard wired for 99 and 103 in their specific spots...

Will a H25 be able to see the ATSC digital sub-channels in its guide so that it can schedule recordings? I assume it will be able to watch recordings that are on the HR24, but can it schedule them?

My point is that the 101 isn't important, although I agree it is needed. So poor signal strength is acceptable, nice and sunny days will bring in the guide. For the technical subscriber who doesn't care about SD or the few SD only channel, I think a SL3 Slimline 3 dish will get the job done...

From looking at Satmaps 99 and 103 have great coverage for Alaska. 101 isn't that great but with a HD setup 101 isn't really necessary to have superior signal strength. Has anyone in Alaska or western Canada tried a SL3 Slimline 3 dish? I really don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

switch to a 36" dish and point at 101 and you will get SD the whole trip and in all of Alaska's highways. The 18" might barely work in yukon and alaska in perfect conditions.
