    I ordered directv with two HR-24s and one standard SD receivers. It will be wire for MRV and with the cinema connection kit. What is the wiring scheme for that like. Any help would be great. thanks, chris

    Yeah, I know they offer these but on their website it says SD for the top three but on a few list and from a few other post on other sites it seems they might actually be HD. I was hoping someone in my DMA could confirm or not if they are actually in HD.

    If the main ground is reachable, close to the grounding block, you run a ground wire (10 gauge) to the main ground. If it is not reachable, not close enough, then you are best to run a ground rod as close to the grounding block as possible and then bond that rod to the main ground with 6 gauge...

    That is not a good ground. Actually, to be in code, if you ground a Dish to its own grounding rod apart from the house ground you must bond the two grounds together with a 6 gauge wire. So not only is your ground bad, the ground needs to be in the dirt, it also needs to be bonded to the house...
