    Questions about leaving DTV

$20/mo isn't too bad. I would hope they would reverse it. Truth is everyone, that we are moving in with my inlaws to get back on our feet. They already have cable. Do you think DTV would sympathize with us? pfan

    Questions about leaving DTV

Moving to a new place with no satellite option. I believe I am under contract through october this year. When I cancelled DISH under contract, they did not charge since they couldn't get signal at the new residence. Loved Direct, but now have to get cable. Will they be nice? pfan

    Receivers in the basement????

This past weekend we went through the "Parade of Homes", to get ideas on building our next house. Most of the houses had the DTV receivers in the basement. I'm sure they had a company do this for a great deal of money, but we are looking to save where we can. So my question...

Hooked up my HR24 to the internet.....what is different?

I have whole home DVR hooked up back in December with a HR24 and H24 in the bedroom. I have that little unit with internet cables behind my living room TV. I also took another Cat5 cable from my router directly into my HR24. Is there a benefit from this connection or is it overkill...

    Direct Installed Today, Hur-ray?

The charter internet guy came over and fixed the wires being all over the floors. He now has them running through the walls to their correct locations. He didn't have to run any wires, but just knew which ones to interconnect and split. In the Direct installer's defense, he never...

Dish doesn't want me back, here I come Direct!

Yes, I believe whole home DVR is included in my initial install. According to the website, with the initial install I get whole home DVR, HD/DVR in living room, HD in bedroom, free install, and $50/mo for the first year. After a year, 63.99 for choice, $7 for DVR service, $3 whole-home...

Dish doesn't want me back, here I come Direct!

So if I understand this right...........I don't need HD DVR in our bedroom? If I go HD DVR in the living room and only HD in the bedroom...........I can still watch DVR material in my bedroom? That would be stupendous if so.
