The annual price increase coming to a January bill near you

It's been a year now since I left D*. I went with YTTV, and must say we are very happy with it. Picture quality is the same, and I really couldn't tell you any channels that I have missed. Yes there was a price increase with YTTV this year, but I am still paying about half of what I was with D*...

Best Western 88 Room DRE setup

When I left a few months ago, they wanted my H25's sent back, and not the HR 44, which I found strange at the time.

TVAnswerman Has AT&T Predictions For 2020

I live in PA, but have NY locals. I'm right the border. I only needed the Sunday ticket twice this year to watch the Eagles play. With all of the Thursday night, Sunday Night, Monday night, and even the Sunday morning London games that are televised, the Sunday ticket keeps going up in price...

    Returning Receivers after cancelling???

So I cancelled Directv last week, and received my return receiver boxes. I have an HR 44 genie, and two h25 receivers. They say they only want the two H25 receivers. I even called, and that is all they said to send. Now I know damn well they are going to try and charge me for the DVR not being...

Satellite TV piracy and account stacking

That's what I'm finding. Great during the day, but at night, not so good. I think I'm going to stick with D* for a while longer. Cable guy said their supposed to run fiber in my area soon. I won't hold my breath though.

Satellite TV piracy and account stacking

I'm on a trial of youtube tv now. I upped my internet to 200 MBPS from 100, and have found that at night, my internet crawls to around 20 MBPS. I'm all over Optimum about it, but don't have any other options in my area, so I am at Optimums mercy. Youtube tv is pretty cool, and I will cancel...

Satellite TV piracy and account stacking

My Bro N law talks about something like that all the time. I think its called Set TV. He's always trying to talk me into it. I just want to turn on my T.V. and know that it's going to work. Not have to download and update stuff to keep ahead of the law.

That’s it! I’m leaving Dish when my contact’s up and returning to DirecTV.

Not for about 2 years. I took advantage of the Sunday ticket college offer through a family member this year, and got the ticket for free last year, so I haven't had a need to switch to Philly locals to watch my Eagles.

That’s it! I’m leaving Dish when my contact’s up and returning to DirecTV.

I just call them up and tell them to switch my service address, and that changes the zip for locals. It doesn't affect the phone service at all. I am talking cell service, not home phone.

price hike and no relief for a customer fo almost 10 years

Hulu is free with Spotify. I also have netflix. Honestly, if it weren't for sports and local news, I wouldn't need D* at all.

price hike and no relief for a customer fo almost 10 years

That's a lot of DVR's. I actually got rid of a receiver,(non DVR) and replaced it with a roku. We have Hulu, through Spotify, and use that for watching T.V. in that room.

price hike and no relief for a customer fo almost 10 years

I used to get some pretty generous discounts, but struck out the last time I called. Reading this thread, it seems everyone is so surprised that they aren't offering them anymore. I also think it sucks, but I will just leave them when the bill gets to high. I have their cell service, so I do...

    Sunday Ticket deals

I think they are getting stingy this year. I called to get a deal on the ST, and or a few bucks off of my bill, and wound up setting a cancel date. I figured they would call before the date came up, but no phone call, so I called to cancel my cancel, LOL. I am getting a decent deal already with...

DirecTV Intro price rockets up $25, or 71%

Most people need cable for the internet, and they tend to bundle T.V. together with it for a decent price. I'm tempted to try out optimum.

Anyone else able to get NFL ST Max for Free for 2019?

Damn, I just called to see about discounts and wound up setting up a cancel date for about 2 weeks away. Have to wait and see if I get any phone calls to keep me, but I'm not counting on it after reading this thread. It's all good though, I can try out streaming options for a while.

    Upgrading to Wireless minis

I wound up running a coax cable. It was a pain in the caboose, but I got it. I figured it's cheaper than dealing with Direct, and no new contract.
