I don't understand what the hole you mention is for? Do you mean near the ground (i.e., earth)?

Where to buy 2" pole for pole mount?

I supposed I can also buy the adapter that Solid Signal sells, which would convert my existing 1.x" pole into a 2" pole at the top. Anyone use one of them?

Where to buy 2" pole for pole mount?

I went to both Lowes and Home Depot. No 2" pipe. Found some sort of 2" metal conduit, but the 2" is measured INSIDE the edge. Got it home, only to found out the bracket won't fit over it.

Where to buy 2" pole for pole mount?

I need to mount dish is back yard. Can't seem to find a pole with an 2" outer dimension. I bought a 2" pipe from Home Depot, but it was 2" on the inside of the pole, not the outside. Help.

    So installer was here AGAIN...

I can see 101, 110, and 119, with the old 3-LNB dish. 101 and 119, I get a signal of 100% on receiver satellite meter. 110 is a bit lower, but still almost 90. He tried to get the signal with just a meter and the satellite arm, and he told me it only went up to 197 (whatever that means)...

Can see current sats; can I pickup the new sats?

When I installed the first dish, I was able to determine (somewhere) that the 101, 110, and 119 dishes were all different elevations in the sky. I remember that 101 is the highest with 119 the lowest. I used that information to make sure I had line of sight to all 3. Assuming the 99 and 103...

Can see current sats; can I pickup the new sats?

When I installed the earlier dish myself, I created a little tool for determining line of sight. I used a compass, and a piece of paper that I cut into a triangle with the exact angles I need for the 3 sats. Do you know the angles and altitudes for the 2 new sats?

Can see current sats; can I pickup the new sats?

Hi - New guy here. I currently have a 3-LNB dish which picks up the 101, 110, and 119 sats just fine (full signal). I live in 07960 zip code. I had the D* installer come last week to upgrade to 5-LNB and he said, "NO way. You can't see the new satellites". From what I read here, the new...
