Both Dish & Direct use refurb boxes for "new" accounts, unless you're getting the latest hardware. For legacy boxes (SD) you get refurb kit. Interesting that they say you shouldn't, one wonders what they consider refurbed.

Just setup a HD DVR and playing with rewind/pause/forward etc. After a pausing or rewinding and then skipping forward how the heck do I know when I'm watching live TV! Is there a button to press or an on-screen message that indicates when I'm watching live TV? Thanks!
