Can you watch and/or record the on demand programs during the free previews?

On an HR20-700 that is running the national release software is there any way to delete the programs that are in the showcase folder? Most of it is Sunday ticket junk and some of it even says it is expired. There is no delete option and the red button on the remote does not do anything either.

They do it that way so both networks get a chance to show all teams no matter what conference. Fox gets to show some AFC games and CBS gets some NFC games. I guess it makes for more even distribution of teams that draw the best non-local ratings.

Just curious but why would it require additional or a new box as the hr20 can already be networked with a pc, however limited it currently is. Maybe I am a little slow to understand but it doesn't seem like it would take much to be able to network the boxes themselves to watch content on...

I have had that problem a few times, have been able to fix by turning off receiver then unplug/plug in hdmi cable, then power on. annoying but at least it works.

depends on how good your installer is. Got mine replaced last sat 9/9 and the guy looked at the sales order and knew to get the hr20, that they had received the first part of last week. I don't think he was officially supposed to give it to me, but he knew that it would mean another trip later...

even if you buy the receiver for $250, you still will pay $5 a month for DVR service so $10 *24 months = $240. Rental is a better deal to me because there is no way you are using the same equipment in 2 years that you are today.
