    HN9000 relocation (how?)

Moving 50 miles you might get away with leaving everything the same. Provided you keep the old owners account (not likely). If you get a new account you are going to have to have an installer. This has been discused several times here and on other forums. You are better off to have a complet new...

    Help WiFi or Satellite

Well I would normally recommend WIFI over satelite but if yours is truly that bad. Then Hughes net would defintely be a great improvement. It is however going to cost you $60 to $70 per month for the Home plan. But that plan would be like light speed compared to what you have...

    HN9000 relocation (how?)

I have had several people tell me that once they entered the pointing mode it covered up the abort point button and they could not stop the pointing. I have done it a couple of times but I had to use 169.254.0.1 to get back to the abort point button.

    HN9000 relocation (how?)

Just out of curosity have you tried to run the installation? Most reports that I have seen indicate that once you enter the pointing mode that you can not exit it unless the NOC has OKed it. Couriuous if you can exit the pointing mode with your DAPT.

My options? (spoiled by cable, moving)

If you truly are going to do the things that you say you are NONE of the consumer grade plans will be satisfactory to you. You need to look at Enterprise systems and Idirect. You need to look real hard for some posible wirless provider before going Satellite. It is clear that no one has...

    question about hughesnet and skyfx

It is possible to self install used 7000 systems. But you still have the contract and from some of you questions I would reccommend that you have an installer do it just so you don't beat your head against the dish for days trying to make it work. Have you checked the serial number of the...

    router: Use Computer MAC Address

Ahhh I am sorry sir but there is no way to just plug an antenna into a computer and get it to work over a wisp. It has to go thru some sort of radio transceiver and modem. People who read this forum are not blond bimbos. Could you perhaps use correct terminology. I think your...

    What's my options?

Well you kinda got to look at the installers side of this also. he gets a call Friday night for a Saturday install. He calls you tell him go later he is trying to get two installs in before noon. Probably has something planned. It looks for sure like you need a pole mount no matter which...

Hughesnet Install price and other questions

If it is a 7000s youcan install it yourself and have it ativated. If its a 9000 you must have an installer. The concinous for the 9000 is that you are better off to just get the new sytem and forget trying to use used stuff.

I found a better speed test for satellite internet

I am sorry Bandwith but I am just a dumb helicopter pilot. I did not understand any of that. I ran the route test a couple of more times and on one test it looked like it actually made it past the NAT router and across to my modem. At least it showed it and the time was 1600ms which would be...

I found a better speed test for satellite internet

Just for fun Here is the test with my turbo page disabled. (Note this is not how the normal person would run the test) But, this way in clearly shows the firewall in Las Vegas and my current iP. But does not make it past the firewall. With the turbo page on ( the normal method of use) it does...

Well I ran all of the new satellite test. Can't tell if they are better or worse than other test. They sure are pretty. Here is the trace route thingy test. It sure would be confusing to someone not familiar with Hughes and the way they do things. The chart and map have my path going back...

I found a better speed test for satellite internet

Ok a couple more test. They may not be valid as this is prime Internet and satellite time. But it looks to me like (and as an original 9000 spaceway III user that spaceway III is deliberately being throttled. I have said from the beginning that Hughes is doing this so that the first users on...
