Well not quite the SP4, I did get my SP4 keyboard for my SP3. It has a much better feel to it, much stiffer and the trackpad is much larger. I will use it a while to see how it goes, but right now it has breathed new life into the SP3....

MS has said that you have a permanent license to W10 and you can reinstall it on the same box. The one year limit is to try to force as many as possible to upgrade as fast as possible (mainly businesses that would put it off forever like XP).

All this really does it download the upgrade when it becomes available, you still decide when you want to upgrade. You do not really have to reserve it, you can upgrade anytime during the first year. I suspect the real reason they are doing this is to try to get a lot of the downloading spread...
