Anyone else been playing with them? I got hooked a couple years ago when I started out with a SoftRock 6.2 80/40m. Now have a SoftRock 6.3 with Mobo 4.3 add-on and HF filter kit/amp. Can do 160 - 10m at 20w. Been having a blast with it on digital modes. Been waiting on the "SDR Widget"...

Coming into this a bit late... but my WAP54G 1.0 is starting to flake more and more after 6 years, so started to look myself. I've also been looking at the Ubiquiti and Open-Mesh stuff. The Open-Mesh OM1P looks interesting except it's b/g only, no N. Cheap meshable access point/router system...

I don't think you need to pay for the service if you have hardware and software that talks to it. The Homeseer software has Zwave support, and I believe they added (or will be adding) support for these locks. Schlage Link Zwave locks - HomeSeer Message Board -Mike

Good luck, curious to see what they say. I've had good success with Asus (and Newegg who I usually buy thru for support.) My buddy theorized it could have been a bad memory controller in the CPU itself, obviously I tried a couple CPUs so threw that out the window. -Mike

I just went thru this (one of my boxes did this habitually for weeks before I replaced the mb/cpu.) It had been working fine for months then started having issues so was really annoying. It started with intermittent hangs in Windows, then eventually it would lock up just where your's is...

Weird, we looked about an hour ago and it said "The keys will be ready in a few days". Maybe you got in before they pulled the keys? Regardless I can't wait to play :) -Mike

Funny you mention that, the MSDN download page says to do that now; the keys won't be ready for a few days. Time to get a VM loaded up :) -Mike

Go to My Computer, right click on the C drive and selecte properties, then under General uncheck "Compress drive to save space". -Mike

I love it. I loaded XP Pro over XP home, played with tethering with my cell and no problems. Disabled folder compression and sped things up (thought its not really that sluggish.) I imaged it and loaded Ubuntu 8.05 on it and 100% of the hardware works (including the WebCam) out of the box...

Just came in... have to say it's small. Can't wait to play with it tonight. It a bit odd to look at not in a bad way, but like looking at a laptop's kid brother. -Mike

I can definitely see that. One work around I had thought of is using a USB key. You can get 8 and 16gb keys for <$50 now (scary :eek:) so lower battery usage than a DVD and can hold a few movies if compressed :) I know a lot of the blu-ray discs are starting to come with Digital copies, but...

No DVD or CD, however the thing is tiny around 6x9". Also FYI, looks like the rumors of the 3G have been squashed. The Vodafone models have them, but the US models currently do not (also no antenna.) Later this year they will add it to the US model apparently. -Mike
