Hi Bill I would try what I think is one of the best digital programs out there. It's called MIXW you can get it at MixW - multimode software for radio amateurs is supports a number of different digital modes not just PSK31 and CW. Ck it out you might like it. 73 Bob N1WBD Grafton,NH

If it's working great as is don't fix it. :) All depends what impedence your scanner requires some scanners are 75 ohm. RG6 is 75 ohm cable. If you find out it requires 50 ohm cable a good quality low loss coax is like a LMR400 very low loss and works like a champ. Bob N1WBD

I played from home running 1D in NH. Heard plenty of stations on the air this weekend. and 10 meters was pretty crowded too considering band conditions. I did manage to work W1AW in Newington CT at ARRL HQ on 80 yesterday. 73 Bob N1WBD

Yes they still have traffic nets, in my opinion though not much traffic gets passed at least up here in NH. I think NTS is slowly fading away as time passes kinda like the barber shop. Bob N1WBD

I used to own a Omni D very nice radio for the time!! Do you have the WARC bands in it? (17 and 30 meters) If not you can call TenTec and order the crystals for them! TenTec still services that rig as well. 73 Bob N1WBD

Well if I get enough responses I'll plan a session, what evening would you guys prefer a weeknight or weekend? I think I would have to run the session as a net type session and do the roundtable format considering the way echolink works.

Jim like the ol' saying goes "jump in the water is fine" :) Just get on you'll catch on quick. Heck if you can broadcasts to 1000's on the big sticks you can talk 1 or 2 people they just talk back thats all. :) :)

BTW quite a few people come up from NY/NJ Mike. You can actually camp out Thurs nite outside the gates and the hamfest starts at 9am Friday and runs straight thru to Sat. afternoon also once inside the gates you can camp Fri nite.
