I think this is misleading...I get the impression from this forum that people just want the choice to do their own installs if they prefer. Not everyone is willing/capable of doing a self install.

Sounds very possible. Couldn't lease negotiations continue after the sale? A cancellation of the sale could require more time. (as in March 7 deadline :confused: )

I would suggest anyone canceling would best be advised to have the install tech call Voom before he leaves. He could report the uninstall as completed and Voom would then close the account. Less chance of the equipment being misplaced and delaying the closure.

Don't know about any laws (all though I'm sure there's got to be something on the books to prevent this) but I don't see that sitting well with the local affiliates selling local ad time.

Anyone done a uninstall yet? Has anyone gone thru with a uninstall yet? :confused: Would be nice if we could get a post with someones feedback who has gone thru this process. I can't imagine a tech coming out and rolling up the RG6. The STB, dish and OTA ant. would be my guess.

My module seems to have gone bad as well. I replaced the Moto/Voom module with a diplexer from my old D* set-up and I'm up again. You can get one just about any electronics store. You need a TV/Sat diplexer not a splitter. Give it a try...if it doesn't work you can asume it's the STB.
