Yea....VOOM was great while it lasted. I remember checking this site everyday to see if there were any new ch's. There was always so much excitement. Now, I am a Dish sub just for the HD pack and the VOOM pack. I enjoy the hd but it's not as good as VOOM was. At least we didn't lose it all.

Say if I wanted to sign up with Dish as a new customer for just the HD pack and VOOM pack...20 bucks a mth. I have the dishes up on my roof and ready to go....all I need is the 811 receiver....whats the best deal I can get through DISH.

Good info mitch672. I have three different dishes set up on my roof and was wondering if I could use my Direct old oval and my VOOM dish. Im really getting the itch to jump into the Dish HD pack now.

Thats exactly the date I am giving them to. If they havent announced any plans by then I have to drop their HD PAck for 10.99 and pick up Dish Nets for 20 bucks. Its really a no brainer....9 bucks more a mth for 14 more HD ch's. The more I write this the more I want to just make the move now...

I feel of the customer wants the dish and antenna ...they should have the option to do so....if they want the dish and antenna removed, then Voom should have them removed.

All I know is if it takes too much time for Direct to add HD .... people that want HD are going to vote with their cash. How can you justify 10.99 for an HD pack that consists of 6 HD ch's. And missing TNTHD. Directv is far behind right now. Sending Sat's up better be for more than just adding...

Im sorry ...I should have mentioned that Im only interested in the HD the Dish has to offer....which I think is on 110 and 61.5 now. The DTV dish has a DTV LNB and the VOOM Dish has the VOOM LNB...of course. But Im only interested in the HD PAck for 20 bucks a mth.

OK....I have a VOOM dish pointed at 61.5.....and I have a Directv Dish that is pointed at 101. If I moved the Directv Dish to 110 and connected the VOOM Dish at 61.5 and the DTV Dish at 110 to a switch and into my house , would I be able to hook the incoming line from both dishes to a Dish HD...

20 bucks a mth will cover it....if I were in charge at Dish I would transfer the all the HD ch's to one sat. This way one dish would cover it. 20 bucks a mth is really a good deal for 15 HD ch's.....but Im still going to wait to see what Direct does. If DTV doesnt act by the summer Im switching...

My HD isnt that bad from Direct either...its just not as good as VOOM was. Just finished watching the Yanks in HD on YESHD...looked really good to me. Im missing VOOM alot though. MonstersHD ...Rave...just going through all the HD ch's even if there wasnt anything on sometimes.

Any deal currently for just adding the hd pack? I was a HD customer before but cancelled the hd PACK because I had Voom....now without VOOM I want to add the HD pack again. Do I get any mths free?

I'm not going to sign up for Dish even if VOOM 21 is broadcast. Dont get me wrong I love VOOM....but out of the 21 exclusive ch's I still only watched a couple. When I turn on VOOM I wouldnt really watch anything but Monsters and Worldsport......the movie exclusives had some movies that I liked...

Its my choice for the best of all the exclusives on VOOM. It was really a huge bonus when it came to the exclusives. I'll miss MonstersHD the most out of all the ch's. It could definetly stand on its own on any cable or sat provider's lineup.

I could see wanting the equipment IF we can use the receiver for OTA.....but if it cant be used for OTA transmitions what are you going to do with the thing? I for one will want to get it out of my house. As for the dish....they arent going to want those back.

Very sad indeed. I feel that VOOM needed to grow at a faster rate to survive. I have loved VOOM but now I have to live life without it and so do we all. Back to Directv's HDLITE for me.

I cancelled my Starz pack because of Starz dropping Encorehd....I just dont feel StarzHD is worth the 15 bucks extra.

I tell you what....now that VOOM added these ch's ...Im really considering droping Directv and going with VOOM all the way. I just want the April 1st deadline to pass and some concrete answers to whether or not VOOM is around for good. Adding these ch's helped all families with kids accept VOOM...

I dont think any HD ch's will be added...but I hope Im wrong about that. I just cant see that VOOM has the space to squeeze more onto their sat's. But Im thinking that my kid would love Noggin. I vote for the morning for new ch's.

As lame as it sounds....QVC is a big ch that my wife watches. I forgot that one.

I love TNT's movies on the weekends. Its a ch that has improved a great deal since it came on the air. Gladiator was a treat this weekend.

I'm pretty happy with the current HD offerings. I would like for them to get INHD 1 and 2 but I cant complain about not having those chs because no other sat provider has them either. I have had HDNET with Directv and really never watched it as much as I watch MonstersHD or Rave or anything on...

What about in the NEW YORK area there is no YES network for us Yankee Fans. I remember last year wanting to watch the Yanks Boston matchup that was only on YES Network here in NY. Thank God I had Directv.
