    Walmart price drop on milk.

3.89 / gal at Publix here in Atlanta. I'm rather particular about my milk, as different brands do seem to have different flavors.

What's there to do in Atlanta?

Not certain if I'd recommend a visit to CNN/Coke/Aquarium area this weekend. They are still cleaning up from the tornado down there although I do believe everything is open. If you are into hiking and Confederate history, you might want to visit Stone Mountain. The view from the top is...

    Giving blood

My how time flies. Appointment for my next siphoning is this saturday. The Red Cross called to confirm and at the end of the conversation she said something like "Thanks for being a true American hero". Don't know about you, but thats a bit over the top for just giving blood in my opinion. ;)

    Daylight Saving Time

Hate that they changed the dates for the time change. It was always very easy to remember when it was in April because it was usually the weekend after my wedding anniversary, and the time in October was usually the weekend after my wife's birthday.

    Giving blood

A- is like gold, maybe you could sell it! I didn't think A neg was all that rare. Wiki says 6% of the US have it (I do too). B- and both AB's are rarer.

FYI, the anthrax vaccine is not actually a bar against giving. I had the vaccine myself just last year. Your Iraq service is the actual problem due to leishmania infection. AVIP -Questions and Answers

    Giving blood

Because I lived in the Uk between 1980 and 1996 it would appear that I have a risk of passing on CJD. All it takes is one little death, and it ruins it for everyone. What a spoilsport ;) CNN.com - Blood donor, recipient die of mad cow disease - Dec. 17, 2003 My guess is the restriction...

    Giving blood

So anyone else here make a habit of giving blood regularly? I just had a pint taken out by the Red Cross, and discovered its generally not a good idea to try starting a lawnmower a several hours afterward. Felt my arm was very wet under my jacket, pulled it off and found I was in the process...

    Fraud Alert: 1-877-487-4751 Den Enterprises

I understand what you are saying and I agree, let me rephrase, Den Enterprises or someone acting as Den Enterprises is a theif and should be prosecuted for fraud... Hmmm, you said you understood, but then you again repeat the possible error. Its quite possible Den Enterprises is innocent...

    Fraud Alert: 1-877-487-4751 Den Enterprises

However, honestly, I want this company, I mean theif prosecuted! Just to be clear, while the Den Enterprises might be the culprit, its also possible someone is taking advantage of an innocent company as well, using fake cards with stolen numbers in order to purchase items. Many...

The movie is great, as are the 3d effects. Just wish Beowolf liked wearing clothes when he fought his battles. Guy liked running around naked way too much. ;)

Car wreck - declared loss. What if I don't want to surrender vehicle?

Update. Insurance was willing to write me a check for $3368 on the Mazda - far more than I was expecting them to pay. If we decided to keep it, they would deduct $1200 in salvage. Problem is with the salvage she said it would probably take a month to get the paperwork all finished, during...

Still waiting for their response. I called again today, but they still hadn't finished processing it. ugh. Makes me remember why I canceled my own policy with State Farm years ago.

Car wreck - declared loss. What if I don't want to surrender vehicle?

I would assume that the same rules would apply for a totaled car. They pay you for the value impairment (in this case, the value of the car). You choose to do with it what you wish. Actually not... thats the problem. If they declare it totalled, they basically expect you to hand the car over...

Car wreck - declared loss. What if I don't want to surrender vehicle?

Don't blame the insurance companies for what other people or groups say your car is worth as well as what others say the parts (and labor) cost. Who is blaming anyone? I just stated reality and wondered what my options were. I don't want to surrender the car, but I do think the car is quite...

Car wreck - declared loss. What if I don't want to surrender vehicle?

Its a 1990 Mazda Miata. Yes, the other driver is 100% at fault, so my insurance won't increase nor will I get hit by higher costs. The problem is that no insurance company will fix a car if doing so is worth more than the value of the car itself. Their solution is to basically "buy" the...

Car wreck - declared loss. What if I don't want to surrender vehicle?

We were in a minor fender bender last week, resulting in the trunk and rear tail lights being broken. The car is perfectly drivable. A new tail light would make it 100% street legal again. However to completely replair the damage, the two quotes I've gotten both are coming up as more than...

2007 Movies - so many to watch, and many great sequels

Spidey took in $59 MILLION yesterday, largest opening day take in film history. Not surprised. The new multi-plex we have is showing it on SEVEN screens. With ever increasing ticket prices, the latest "record breaking weekends" always fail to impress me. What I want to know is not how much...
