    Falling Skies - TNT

    One of the things anbout this show is that they are never afraid to kill off a popular character, so when someone is on death's bed, you never know if they will truly make ir. I think this makes it far less predictable than other shows. Posted Using The New SatelliteGuys Reader App!

    New Digital channel - PB&J

    Classic children's programs/cartoons/Roy Rogers, etc from Luken (the RTN people) Classic Media’s retro-cartoon channel: PB&J | Cartoon Brew: Leading the Animation Conversation Wonder if enough markets have free digital sub-channels to carry this one? I would actually rather this than CoolTV.

    Decent Star Trek: TNG Upconverts

    Sorry I can not edit my post - it should say Discovery channels care little .... BBCA has explained the reason for this addition: AlphaBits: 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' On BBC America? Really? | Airlock Alpha

    Decent Star Trek: TNG Upconverts

    The Discovery channels can little about thematic channel programming. Shalom in the Home appears on the Green network. If they have the rights to a program it can show up on any of the Discovery networks.

    Stargate Universe

    I actually like the show, but it is too complex, too many characters and the personalities are too multidimensional. I actually like the show and think it will take time for it to develop. Think about the original stargate with 6 or so main characters and all likeable and fundamentally moral...

    @DK in HD

    Sorry, I know is as @DK. They go by @DK for their teen/adult programming and Discovery Kids for their little kiddie programming (like Hip Hop Harry). Sort of like Nick@Night and Nickelodeon. They have been advertising that they are going HD for the past week. Still can not image that they...

    @DK in HD

    DK is advertising that they will be going HD soon. Do they even have HD content? How can they run only 15 or so series, many of which had less than 20 episodes, in a continous loop?

    The Promise of Secondary Channels Not Fulfilled

    Secondary channels had a lot of potential - their programming is relatively cheap and they had a large potential distribution venue as stations were looking to fill their digital sub-channels. I had expected a number of variety type channels to emerge. Instead Variety went belly up and RTN is...

    This week's Simpsons in HD

    So was King of the Hill. Sorry about the typo "This week's ...." - finger was one key too far to the right. I also did not see anything in TVGuide, etc., so I was quite surprised. Fox announced a 20 year celebration of the Simpsons - wonder what else they may have planned?

    This week's Simpsons in HD

    I thought the Simpson's would never be in HD, but as the banner across Moe's says now in HD. Looks pretty good.

    Stargate Atlantis

    What happened to Woosley? Is it just me, or is this season just a collection of episodes with no continuity or arc?

    Stargate Atlantis

    It was also one of the better episodes. Occasional shoot-em-ups are good, but Stargate is always better when they focus on their characters.

    Stargate Atlantis

    Me too. When I had a day off from work, I loved seeing Lost in Space marathons; RTN has the original BSG - love that daggert.

    Stargate Atlantis

    True, but Woolsey (sp?) is not really a new character. One thing that has always impressed me with that character is that he is becoming more human each time he appears.

    Stargate Atlantis

    If I am reading correctly, it looks like it will be a Weir Arc. I think Tori may simply be upset that her character was downgraded, but the way people shuffle around, it could be that Tori returns next year and the present Weir is an imposture. Who knows?

    Stargate Atlantis

    Yes it is not Weir (edit:I mean Tori who played Weir - the character not the actress is returning): GateWorld - Higginson out for Season Five Beckett will also be back in about a month.

    Stargate Atlantis

    One would think that Beckett is out of the picture, but he is back for 5 episodes: GateWorld - McGillion returns to Stargate Atlantis There is even a web site advocating for more: SaveCarsonBeckett.com It is the weirdest phenomenon. As for Weir - I predict that if the shpw continues to...

    Stargate Atlantis

    I think it is trying to introduce some dry humor that was the hallmark of SG1, especially with the Wosley character. The problem is that it worked in SG1, it is falling flat in Atlantis. There are threads out there and they need to start turning them into story lines: the Dr. Weir replicator...

    Stargate Atlantis

    Let's see - without spoilers - how many thought he was divorced with an estranged Yorky? Just give Wosley the gene therapy and let him open his own doors. Did we really need to see McKay in the bathtub? Does she want to rejoin the team or doesn't she? Seriously, that is how I see Atlantis...

    Stargate Atlantis

    I would never rule out a character's return on SGA. I thought Rainbow Sun was gone for good.
