Its not Installs you need to worry about, its the local installer company. I've had good and bad experience with these guys. Its basically hit and miss.

    CHICAGO METRO AREA VOOM

Yea I'm out west and have noticed the same issue with Fox. I get a similar problem with CBS but that appears to be a signal strength issue were as FOX comes in at 95 or 96.

    CHICAGO METRO AREA VOOM

I didn't have any issues on my 18' dish over the thanksgiving snow show or with the snow we got lastnight. I used to have horrible rain fade but swapped out my LNB and repeaked my dish myself and have not had an issue sense.

    CHICAGO METRO AREA VOOM

Tvlman..... Yea I work in Schaumburg and live next to it in Streamwood ( a little west of schaumburg). Only problem I've had is dealing with CBS as it seems they broadcast at a much lower level than the rest. (ABC, NBC, FOX, etc.) While I do get CBS it cuts in and out all the time. I don't...

    Vooming in Enid, OK...Not pleasant.

With a 90 to 96 signal I doubt the 24 would help the pixalating problem you see. However it might increase your signal closer to 99. Like Sean said, it sounds like you are having interference problems. Do you have tree's, electrical lines, or anything else that moves with the wind in front of...

    CHICAGO METRO AREA VOOM

To me it looks like it needs to be repeaked. You should be in the mid 90's range for this area. As for your OTA reception, are all the channel's coming from the same general direction? If not, it sounds like you need a rotar on your antenna. EDIT: Oops, just noticed you said you had a...

    Voom installed on 6/25...

For the Horizontal there is a bracket that raps around the poll that should have 2 or 3 bolts holding it tight to the pole. Unscrew those to turn the dish left and right.

Is your homeowners association pressuring you about antennas

I was looking at the below Quote. Guess I "assumed" it was 1 meter LOL. It doesn't state a size now that I looked at it again.

My VOOM is sucking today. I just got it 2 days ago.

If wind is causing you to loose signal then verify that the dish is securly mounted. If its not then when the wind picks up the dish will start moving, consequently loosing the signal. The other possibility is that trees are swaying into your line of site.

Is your homeowners association pressuring you about antennas

The FCC does specify size for antenna's or what you mean to say is Off Air Antenna's. The FCC regulates 1 meter in diameter or diaginal. So if the ordinance or association wanted to they could restrict Off air antenna's over 1 meter (diaginal). Yes, I realize that restricts a crap load of...

    Received New Upgraded Dish Today

You might want to check your signal and power strength now. You may need to repeak after they changed out the dish if they didn't do it or didn't do a good job of it.
