I'm confused as the next guy on it - but I do know that to peak the thing between C & Ku, I had to adjust the feed in the scalar in or out. Now, why would that be if the focal point of the dish is at one particular point? It would seem that once the signal enters the feedhorn, it wouldn't make...

Several of us use the water bottle trick. It helped mine pick up 5 or 10 Q points, but this spacer deal may actually make me WANT to use it again... I'm just bummed I didn't think of it... gaaaa....

If we could determine the exact length needed, it shouldn't be too difficult to cut out a rubber bushing (maybe from an old car tire?) just right to act as a spacer and keep it weatherproof... Or a stack of tar paper...? Maybe there's hope for this piece of crap after all...

Those bean beetles are about as mean as the red wasps... they will bite...

Well - my take on the solar collector was that it was all stick-on mirrors and the dish, mesh, and mount all stays intact, thereby it could still be used as a sat antenna... If you have a bunch of extra unused BUDs handy, it would seem to be a good use for them while they are sitting 'idle'...

That's funny... I think my destroyed 10' BUD looked better in the yard than that out-of-whack BUDzebo... they better get those roses climbing quick to cover up their crappy construction job... One of the more intriguing things I've seen done with a BUD is the solar collector... It gets hot...
