Anyone have a Avcom PSA 37-D Service Manual

Thanks to all for the help on this. I never did find a service manual but I did find enough info to realize I did not have a calibration issue after all. :)

Anyone have a Avcom PSA 37-D Service Manual

Alignment mostly, but having a manual would be worthwhile for other aspects too.

Where to get a GEO Sat Pro 1.2 Meter Dish - on the East Coast?

Hi All I am new and need FTA Help

One helpful hint that I found was to move the dish to the ground (temporary) while getting used to the alignment process - especially with a motor. Then once you feel comfortable with that, move it back up to the roof... It worked for me :)

    Aldi Dish

I have one very similar to yours - this is what I did for mounting an LNB. This dish is currently not in use, but is stored in my barn.. hence the dirt :(.. When I had it up and running the results were very impressive.

    FTA Setup

Use dishpointer.com as a starting point to find the general location and parameters for setting this dish. http://www.dishpointer.com/ Then as previously pointed out - adjust the dish VERY SLOWLY while watching the meter. I also recommend (for the first time) taking a TV set out to the dish and...

    Wonderful - Thanks.

    MicroHD Question

A question for the MicroHD users out there. Does the MicroHD offer recording in the TS or PS mode? Can you select between the two modes? My Manhattan RS-1933 allows for selecting either format, and I was curious if the MicroHD did also. Thanks GI_Joe

    "Goodnight Satellite"

Speaking of slates - Does anyone have a screen capture of the following: The History channel from a few years back when they had a problem and showed the "man on the beach" for a month. Also ANY screen capture of the oil spewing from the well during the BP disaster? I had them both and I lost...

    Better Ku performance on BUDs

This also peaked my interest. I have spent countless hours fine tuning a C/ Ku dish just trying to peak the signal on Ku. It wasn't until I started playing with the "centering" of the LNBF around the C band scalar ring that things started to make sense.. You can reach a middle ground where...

What's the most popular Sats for news feeds

I am considering setting up three or four dedicated K/u dishes strictly for news feeds and back-haul surfing. Currently what are the most popular sats for catching these feeds? I have seen lots on 91W, 89W, 79W and 77W in the past but I have not check in quite some time. Are there others that...

    Lightning LNB damage

I have had a couple of the DMX-741 LNB hit by lightening as well. Both times the damage was only to the switching portion of the LNB - the actual LNB portion still worked. I have grounded both dishes with an 8 foot ground rod, and knock on wood, no further damage.

    Kaultronics Solid Dish

Correction to my original post. I believe I referred to model as an SS-120 - re-thinking I believe it is actually an SS-112.

    Kaultronics Solid Dish

Correct. The mount is iron.. Mine is fairly rusted, but functional just the same. Odd though - for the dish to weigh as much as it does the mount is designed around a standard 3.5" OD pipe. I added extra bracing to my pipe mount and it has held up nicely. If other have them in service - please...

    Kaultronics Solid Dish

@ Magic Static - That it... If you can get it I would do whatever you had to do to get it home and set it up. The SS120 is 120 inches (10 foot) funny thing it is actually 9.5 foot. I found mine two years ago. bought it for $50 - the guy honestly did not know what he had. There also a cool video...

    Kaultronics Solid Dish

I am just wondering how may folks have the Kaultronics stainless steel dish? I have an SS120 and I have often wondered if there are others out there that also have one? Seems I never hear anyone mention having one. Mine has a small sticker that indicates a manufacture date of September 1984.

    36" Dish for C band?

Look at it this way - The reason C band on a small dish does not work - is the same reason that you can put multiple LNBF on a Ku band dish and see several sats.. A small dish has a larger beamwidth to the sky and can "see" more than what it is pointed to. The problem with C band is that...

Is It Best To Blindscan C and K/U Band Satellites Together Or Separate

The Manhattan RS-1933 receiver allows dual LO settings (5150 \ 10750 ) I have been running it this way for a few months doing testing. I actually prefer to have separate C and Ku satellite locations set up and stored. It takes up more stored locations but you get a more precise aim if you store...
