For the FTA, the minimum size dish required is 30 inches. The directv dish is way too small to pick up g10R.

Ku band- AMC 5 to 148, I get anything east of AMC 5 at this time because of a second story addition to my house. Anything east of AMC 5 is unattainable because of the house. I might have to move the dish somewhere else during college football season for SBS 6.

here in my neck of the woods, I see plenty of dishnetwork/directv, mostly dishnetwork. although, I see plenty of bigger dishes being used mainly for SKY Mexico. I also see a few c-band dishes and an occassional FTA dish or two.

G10R has a fox station from marquette,MI., they tend to show either packers or lions games. Also, over on AMC 4 there is KUIL fox 64 from Beaumont, Tx., were you might be able to see a few cowboys games or maybe the saints. There used to be a cbs station available on ku from the virgin islands...

channel master is an excellent program for building your personal channel lists. however, i'm not certain if the fortec mercury is supported by channel master, yet. there is really no way to mess up your receiver by using the program.

I learned that you should always unplug your receiver whenever you change your diseqc switches.

I am in the process of trying to add AMC 9 to the satellite list of mytheatre, and am having a hard time getting it set up. what should the lnb settings be in mytheatre for AMC 9. All I am getting is no signal upon doing a transponder scan. Help me please. rufus :(

Don't forget to insure that your pole is perfectly plumb and level. I was only hitting half of the arc til I figured it out. My pole was wasn't level on top and that was throwing it off. Take it from me, save yourself some frustation later, and make sure its plumb and level. Regards Rufus
