don't know when but in checking it out the motor works ok but the 8' dish didn't move. I could turn the positioner one direct to get it back pointing south to 99w. it was east of there. but when I try to turn it east, it turns easy but nothing happens ordered a new positioner from sadoun...

my sadoun motor is really hard to move now. I went out and finally got it to move pushing east and west buttons. would go just a little then stop. finally was able to move it but it does not move with the signal from the receiver. I will probably take it down and try to lube it but who knows...

I think it might be the high bit rate. I change channels sometimes and it clears up but still don't know what's happening. might try the s9 and see what happens. chas.

the voice is ok but the pix doesn't change for seconds at a time. sometimes when I reboot the microhd the problem clears up like this morning. sometimes it clears for a few minutes and then has the same problem again. I did rescan the satellite but still have the same problem intermittently...

finally got to town and got the null modem adapter and a female to female converter so I have it hooked to the asc1. however when I try to upload the update file into the control program it doesn't see it. I think it is still a packed binary file with .bin indicator. is this a correct file...

I have a six foot dish from sadoun that does well. I did have it receiving c band and k band channels with a dual lnbf but added added a 1.2 dish from satav to receive the k band freqs. the only channels I can't receive with the 6' are ewtn on 133w and 4 2 2 cbs signals on 87w or 89w. chas

I use the list on the board which is most out of date, and I use lyngsat and sathint. those are usually the best. chas

i am trying to connect the gigaware usb/serial adapter directly to the asc1. i am assuming it is a straight modem output. so if the asc1 is a null modem output i should connect pin 2 to 2, 3 to 3, 7 to 7, 8 to 8 and 5 to 5. correct? thanks, chas

I couldn't find the pinout for the asc1 or the gigaware usb to serial adapter. if I had the pinouts I could make a cable to connect the two male adapters together. chas

downloaded the files and when I got my gigaware usb-a to serial adapter out, both the gigaware and asc1 both have male connectors. do I need to order a new usb to serial adapter to install the updated firmware? chas
