Better than OTA....THAT I find difficult to believe. If that's the case...there is something wrong with your OTA setup.

I heard the Shuttle this morning! And saw it too.

Awesome pics Charlie! Took the family to watch a launch back in '98. It was an early morning launch...just before daylight. We stayed in Cocoa FL. Had to wake the kids up at about 4 AM to get to a designated observation site. Someone had a small portable TV next to us watching the countdown. At...

Dont mean to hijack, but I'm thinking of getting a CS 5000 or CS 6000. Iceberg or anyone, would you say the 5000 and 6000 are on equal ground as far as blind scan? Thanks.

    Changes coming for RTV programming

Absolutely. I remember a time when it was Nickelodeon that had those older programs back in the mid to late '80's. Then TVLand was born, and those shows seem to transition away from Nickelodeon to TVLand. Now TVLand is Cosby, Fresh Prince, Rosanne etc. The type programs that are probably pretty...

    Changes coming for RTV programming

RTN/RTV isnt the network it was a few years ago. Programming was much better then. The Wild Wild West, Gomer Pyle, Mission Impossible, The Avengers, My Three Sons...heck I cant remember the others I watched. The lineup seems a bit bland these days.

    blind scan

I think you're right. Viewsat's channel scan is for individual TPs. Apparently not a true blind scan. Now as far as the new Viewsat Ultra Lite, (around $75 brand new)from what I've seen, defintely has a blind scan feature.

    blind scan

Well I'm a little confused. Although I've had my viewsat for years, someone mentioned in another post that the platinum didnt have blind scan. However, the Platinum has an "auto scan" and a "channel scan." It was always my impression that the channel scan IS blind scan. I understand what auto...

    Adding a satellite

Been out of this for a while, and in that while I guess I got brain freeze. Can anyone tell me or point me in the direction as to how to add a sat to my viewsat platinum? 1-I got to the part where I manually name the sat Galaxy 25 2- As far as adding tp and SR info, I went into channel scan...
