    Signal loss over coax. Solution?

What brand cable is it? I usually recommend rg-6 solid copper core up to like 80' or so, on longer runs just go with rg-11. What connectors are you using? I use PPC compression connectors. Not sure if you have interference problems? Maybe some quad? I've never had to use quad personally.

For one bird sometimes you got to do what you got to do. For motorized you will be in big trouble.

HITS upgrading to dvb s2 technology

That would not help much, the best guys to talk to would be the head at srl or skyvision, maybe even Mike would know but if nothing is being said yet, I hope they are just working on a official announcement of some kind, good or bad news it would be nice to have something.

HITS upgrading to dvb s2 technology

The switching starts very soon, from what I have read it seems they have not switched the s2 DCII encrypted HD muxes, so lyngsat may be wrong as headends will be using some DSR's. So if srl or Skyvision did make a deal with Shaw or Comcast to use some existing modified equipment it should be...

HITS upgrading to dvb s2 technology

The HITS stuff would be cool but honestly it's not first generation master broadcast. HITS already has HD channels on AMC-18 using h.264 dvb-s2 but encrypted with DCII, I wonder if they are still going to use DCII or move to something else? From what I know when Motorola was in charge of it, (I...
