DVBWorld 2104D DVB-S2 HD USB BOX and Windows 7

Sorry, can't help you with the DVBWorld 2104D. Have been using a DVBWorld 2104C on Windows 7 for quite a while. (using 'Device Manager', it displays: 'Driver Date 4/23/2010' and 'Driver Version 3.0.0.1')

What DVBS card are you watching Luken with?

Comes in fine here (3920 on SES2 @ 87W). Using DVBViewer with a Prof 7500, using LAV codecs for h.264 video and for AAC audio. As Trip told you, it is probably a codec issue, &/or MyTheatre.

    LNBF Testing Comparison: SL1PLL / PLL321s / ESX521

Huh????????? You started your own thread on this 2 days before posting on this one. I am not trying to offend you, but your reply on this thread is somewhat puzzling...... http://www.satelliteguys.us/free-air-fta-discussion/289040-avenger-pll321s-2-pll-%3D-awesome.html

    New GEOSATpro microHD Receiver

You're welcome. Rough count was in the high 70's (78, but may be off one or three, lol). And it did log in the names, some of them include the air time too.

    New GEOSATpro microHD Receiver

Yes, using DVBWorld program with DVBWorld 2104C. 'True Oldies' right now is playing "There Goes My Baby" (The Drifters).

    QQ-Box USB DVB-S Tuner - Unknown Device?

Hi Canalsat and welcome to the forum. Let me see if I understand correctly: You are using a dual output LNB, and DVBDream works when you use the loop out from the receiver, but not if you connect the QQ Box directly to the LNB? If that is correct, do you have LNB power on in...

    suggestions on viewing software?

I still use AltDVB once in a while. There is a bda driver for it out there, and it does work on DVB-S2. Sichbo is free (no recording function unless you make donation), but haven't tried it. DVBViewer is popular and relatively inexpensive. And once you pay for it, can get TransEdit for free.

Whats a good satellite program app?

Well Dee_Ann, if you've tried all the settings in MyTheatre (including crackt's suggestion), I would have to ask if your problem exists on both the pc monitor and the TV, or just the TV?

Prof Revolution s2 7500 USB DMX741U no signal

Did you try the Prof 7500 with the polarotor/lnb? You should have been able to tune into one of the DVB signals if you did. I would try tuning C band with the dmx741u. Try just one transponder (3820-V-26000 on G16 is always up and has a strong signal). You may have to rotate the dmx741u to...

Whats a good satellite program app?

There should be settings in both MyTheatre and the video codec for screen size of the displayed picture. Right click on the picture and see what options are available. There should be something like 'video settings', ''view', 'options' or 'directshow filters'. DirectShow filters or codecs...

DVBWorld 2104D USB Double Scanning Frequencies

The fact that it works without any switch indicates the 2104D is working properly. Using a computer card (USB one included) can be a crap shoot with switches, and using a bda driver just throws another wrench in the mix. And on top of that different software (the DVB program) is another factor...

You 'checked' the switch, but have you tried it without the switch?

DVBWorld 2104D USB Double Scanning Frequencies

What I do (with a 2104C) is scan a transponder with no signal, the scan window closes on its own, reopen it, and then I'm able to access the sat config parameters again.

    LNB Power

Which drivers are you using? The WDM drivers were flaky for me (didn't work more often than did).

    LNB Power

I couldn't find where to turn it on/off in DVBViewer either, so guess you'll have to wait for someone more familiar with it. You can check the output for power with a short piece of coax and a cheap DMM, and see if it is sending 13/18VDC.

    dvb world dvb-s2

Hi Blind, Did you also look at the dates on the referenced posts? They were made 1.5 years ago. If you kept reading, you would have seen that once DVBWorld (the member here) joined, the company started making improvements to their software/drivers. And while it is not perfect, they have...

4DTVer wants to dabble with FTA

The USB "box" does not store anything. Basically, it is the equivalent of a PCI card. You use a DVB app (software/program) for tuning and viewing. And they don't blind scan. It is possible with some software, but takes a long time. You may save the channels in your DVB app. A major factor...

New Pictures: DVBWorld DVB-S2 USB & CA

@ RnR, I have used several of the "free" DVB apps using the BDA driver with my USB 2104, and they worked fine. If they support BDA (and DVB-S2, if that is what you are looking for). @ BJ, Rod has yet to support BDA drivers, and that is all the newer units use. There is an older unit...

That computer should work fine (make sure it provides the voltage the card you decide on needs, there was an issue with a motherboard that didn't a while back). Are you looking for C or Ku band or both? What OS? Sounds like you want to use an internal card. Do you want to use a PCI or PCI-E...

    FTA PC Newbie

Hi louie629, Welcome to the forum. First thing is a fast computer (CPU) with at least 1GB of RAM. Next, you may want to consider a device (PCI/PCI-e/USB) that is DVB-S2 compatible. That way, you will not need to upgrade in the near future (since DVB-S2 is becoming more common). I have...
