I doubt a customer retention rep would know for sure but he seemed confident and said if I wasn't happy and if the merger was not complete by August then cancel then. Otherwise all should be ready to go and I should have access to the sirius channels I was interested in. *shrug*

you can pick 50 NON PREMIUM channels from either service for 6.99 a month.. My point is once the prem channels are announced this could get hairy.

I think it will be easier for your situation as they will prolly have a baseball package you can add... In my situation I don't want the football package I just want the ONE NFL channel.... I could almost bet they will consider it a premium channel though :(

Problem is, if its a premium channel it seems it might be a hassle or part of a package.. until they list how they are handling them and which ones they are to begin with, I am not gonna get too excited.

You need that PLUS a new brain though right? Last month I was told for a truck install with an XM brain you would need that adapter plus a Sirius brain for the factory stereo to work?

Its currently 12.95 per month... they are proposing 6.95 a month for 50 channels of both services combined 25 or xm/25 of sirius.. or 40 of sirius and 10 of xm... problem is... this is only 50 channels of their "non premium" channels... I want to know what they are considering premium. Sure...

I miss the football channel and Octane from Sirius. Beyond that the built in XM in my truck is nice. I would pay more to get those channels added personally. I used to listen to the NFL channel nonstop. I do listen to more music without it though hehehe.

If XM and Sirius were as widespread as Windows or Linux or Apple I could see your point but XM and Sirius competing is like peeing in the wind. Neither are huge and their competitor is HD Radio and normal radio. They are very shy of their competition... That is why they would merge... merged...

This is incredibly unobservant of me Scott but when cleaning glass I noticed a DVD player under my drivers seat LOL... It has the navigation software in it and has a PC Card slot. Are you aware of any way to get the DVD player to play DVD's? Also can you get upgraded navigation cd's?

Yea I need to run a hardwire in the Ridgeline like I did my Grand Prix for my old lighting. I am just chicken with the brand new truck Where at do you attach the antenna outside the truck exactly I know a lot of people use the magnet and put it on the hood but I have never done that.

My only complaint about the Ridgeline is the power outlets don't work while the car is off. I got so used to letting the Sirius play while the car was off then when I got in the car I could rewind back to the nfl shows and when commercials came up I would fast forward thru them...

That is true Scott however I guess glass is exempt and who installs the original parts i.e. a mechanic the field adjuster knows who can do it for $200 less that normal body shops etc. is not out of the question so I am told... I know by taking it to honda and I will continue to take it to honda...
