GEOSATpro Using diseqc 1.1 on the micro

I'm also using the Digiwave switch without any issues. One on a Solomend 800 and one on the MicroHD.

AZBOX Elite Network interface died ?

I never had any success getting it to work using wireless, so I sold my Elite to Iceberg . He doesn't use the networking anyway. Sorry not to be any help. I'm happier not having an Azbox these days. :)

GEOSATpro Screen Flickers to Blank Screen When Changing Channels

Try looking at the problem when on 97W ( has lots of channels and transponders) . What I'm seeing is almost a 1 sec blackness delay WHEN I CHANGE TRANSPONDERS, but not when I remain on the same transponder. See if perhaps that's not what you're seeing, which is a result, I suspect of the...

GEOSATpro question about the micro hd

I've put the Manhattan RS1933, MicroHD and Solomend 800 PVR on the same signal, and the MicroHD is second to none. Tuner definitely seems better than the Openbox, and is at least equal to the Manhattan. The MicroHD has far fewer limitations and glitches than the other two boxes . It's a...

    GEOSATpro thumb drive too slow

It turns out that all Sandisk ( and other brands ) are not created equal. I use Sandisk Class 4 uSD cards a lot on Android tablets , as a boot device. The Sandisk Class 4 drives are optimized for "small file" I/O operations, and work well as a boot drive for Android devices. The Class 4...

    Menu Display Issue

I'm seeing the same thing in the Single Satellite Search menu. It doesn't bother me, but that's what's there ! :) Maybe there's a leading space ? What I see is "(24/44) 105w K AMC1" [edit] When I restore defaults, and add the one sat, 105W, THEN I see the correct description. BUT IF I restore...

Feature Request: motor type for all satellites

Our weird setups might include Ku dishes ( with USALS positioning AND Diseqc 1.2 positioning, as well as fixed dishes) plus C-band dishes(with USALS positioning AND Diseqc 1.2 positioning and fixed position ) . A lot of fun combinations, so little time ! :)

Posible bug with new Firmware dated 8/23

Jeez, you certainly don't owe anyone any apologies for posting the issue. Even if you HAD read the earlier post I mentioned , you might not have related it to your specific issue, but the basic subject was the same. The fact that in certain menus, we've come to expect the current satellite to...

Don't move motor while scanning feature

"It also had the graphing meter." I'd forgotten that, but I loved it ! Looked like an o'scope trace . Very nice to peak a signal. :)

    Possible bug MicroHD

"down to the horizon" .... Yes, but not with USALS ! :) Diseqc 1.2 control will get you the maximum range at the extremes of your arc. :)

Posible bug with new Firmware dated 8/23

I believe that's been brought up already, in another thread. That thread talked about the same subject, the lack of "stickiness" of the current satellite in all menus. :) I suspect it'll be fixed shortly. It IS aggravating.

Don't move motor while scanning feature

The nicest solution to this that I have seen, is the old Buzz receiver line ( Sonicview 1000, also). There was a "signal" button on the remote, whereby you could see the signal strength and bump the dish , then save the Diseqc 1.2 position. Just about the best feature of that receiver. :) I...

New microHD Firmware Release: GSP_MHD_010 Available for USB and Satellite Update (OTA-SSU) 08.23.201

You're so funny, Brian. I just switched a couple weeks ago from Univ to standard lnbf, and NOW you decide to fix this stuff !!! :) I'm really aghast !! lol

C-Band Orthomode setup, seperate KU dish and DisEqc motor and the microHD receiver.

"12 hours a day ". :( It pains me to think about it. Good luck ..

C-Band Orthomode setup, seperate KU dish and DisEqc motor and the microHD receiver.

The specs that I see on the 8115 show voltage range of 15-24 VDC , and it's not clear to me that without the 18vDC mod, the WNC switch will deliver appropriately. It might, but I'd do the mod and remove any doubts. :)

New microHD Firmware Release: GSP_MHD_009 Available for USB and Satellite Update (OTA-SSU) 08.20.201

Yeah, that's a step backward. You should be able to hit "exit" to get back and select a different sat, but that's not the best solution.

New microHD Firmware Release: GSP_MHD_009 Available for USB and Satellite Update (OTA-SSU) 08.20.201

Everything went smoothly, had to re-enter USALS info, but everything else worked. Also had to reset my favorite setting in TV system area, and go back to 1s OSD timeout. Looks good , so far. Watching baseball on two TV's right now. :)

Motor goes back and forth on loss of signal

It appears to me that the different motors respond slightly differently to the reissue of motor commands, when they are already "on target" . The DG-380 actually moves a few degrees and moves back again, the SG-2100 does a "wakeup" and decides that it's already there, and no movement is...

Motor goes back and forth on loss of signal

Doing the same experiment with the Solomend 800 and the DG-380 , I noticed no indication that any motor commands were being issued. No noise, no movement. Different results for probably obvious reason of motor implementation code. :) In both cases, I'm only getting any motor movement when...

Motor goes back and forth on loss of signal

I just put my DG-380 on the MicroHD to test this. 1. Put the dish on Aljazeera . Blocked the signal with a big piece of cardboard--no motor movement. 2. With the dish still on Aljazeera, I disconnected both RG-6 cables from the lnbf -- no motor movement. 3. Reconnected both RG-6 cables...

Motor goes back and forth on loss of signal

I just did a quick check on my two Ku dishes, and couldn't duplicate the issue. I used a large piece of shipping box ( from a geosatPro 90cm , in fact) to block the signal after a move. Neither my DG-380 nor the new SG-2100 did any "micro-moving" in the minutes after losing signal. I think...

Complete Lockup - Antenna Setup/ Poor video, no audio after scan

Good idea, I'd go so far as to disconnect HDMI cable from the stb and try to use it solely on the composite output. That may tell you something. :)

C-Band Orthomode setup, seperate KU dish and DisEqc motor and the microHD receiver.

You have to remember that the current draw of a motor depends largely upon the load ( weight of the dish). A 90cm dish might require 150ma to get into motion , while the same motor , moving a heavier dish, might require 300ma to move it. Current is higher on starting the dish moving, than it...

C-Band Orthomode setup, seperate KU dish and DisEqc motor and the microHD receiver.

That's one setup I've used, but it obviously didn't work with my Univ lnbf ( can't cascade the 22khz ) . I've used it successfully with my dual output standard linear lnbf. :)
