    OTHER STAB HH-120 motor maintenance

Synthetic lubes are superior. That why all cars today use syn oil. I use syn oil in the lawn mower as the snow thrower.

    OTHER STAB HH-120 motor maintenance

I would use a silicone based grease. It tolerates temp changes extremely well and lasts forever. Thats what I used on my Stab 90.

Openbox 30sec "JUMP" Forward/Back Playback Function in Openbox S9 receivers??

But even in the pictures of the remotes there is NO button labelled as PREV/NEXT. Having been translated from Chinese to English perhaps there is a specific button with another label.

Openbox 30sec "JUMP" Forward/Back Playback Function in Openbox S9 receivers??

There were a number of different remotes with the S9. My remote does not have the PREV/NEXT option either. Looking at the manual was no help.

OTHER Ku band causing interference on amateur radio 2 meters

Same here I have an old Panasonic plasma HDTV which creates havic on the HF bands and a 12v switching PS that is not HF friendly as well.

OTHER Ku band causing interference on amateur radio 2 meters

The Ku band maybe 12-18 GHz but the LNB will downconvert the signal to between 950MHz-2150MHz depending on the LNBF type and send it down the COAX to the receiver. Still that would appear to be in a range that should not affect 2 meters.

OTHER Cozi TV Ku @ 103W

Have been viewing Cozi on 11760 for many years. Not aware of 12120. Most likely my 33" dish is not able to detect.

In addition to circular polarity, are they not S2 HD? The ultra 2000 is only an DVB-S receiver and will not demodulate the signals.

OTHER So whats good to watch on Ku Band?

Can't relate to those sats but I am impressed at the number of languages that you understand. In North America its tough to get people to learn a second language.

OTHER Universal LNB - Linear - on a DISH NET 1000.2 dish

Where are the camel jockeys? Are they in the trunks?

OTHER Universal LNB - Linear - on a DISH NET 1000.2 dish

Just remember that an offset dish even though its pointing at the trees is actually seeing sats by the amount of offset. The focal point of the dish is not in its center but at its base). In other words the dish is looking about 24 degrees higher than what its pointing at. In my case the dish...

OTHER Universal LNB - Linear - on a DISH NET 1000.2 dish

I would stick with dishpointer.com rather than the location app. If you align your dish following the line pointing to the sat, you should right on. Also if you can, bring the receiver and monitor out to the dish so you can see what is going on as you fine tune the azimuth and elevation...

OTHER Universal LNB - Linear - on a DISH NET 1000.2 dish

I have a 25" offset dish with a linear LNB and it works well with 30w or 97w. Its not ideal but adequate. However if the 25" dish above is an elliptical probably it will not work because the LNB will only see the center of the dish rather than receiving signal from the entire surface of the dish.

    OTHER Manhattan RC-1978

Did you input the correct LONGITUDE for your location into the setup menu? If all the sats are out by 2 degrees then a quick cheat is to alter your LONG setting by 2 degrees or change the individual sats positions by 2 or go out and carefully nudge the dish over to the sat that is closest to...

    OTHER Best KU LNB

The kit probably came with old technology DRM (non PLL) type LNB. The newer PLL LNBs are better especially if using a small dish and dealing with weak signals.

    OTHER Best KU LNB

I also an very pleased with the Avenger PLL-3215-2 LNBs. I have 3 of them. 2 in use are about 5 yrs old and do not appear to be affected by winter cold and summer heat. Minor braw back, being universals, they tie up the 22khz tone function. The GEOSATPRO is also excellent, however it requires...

OTHER Stab HH90 high pitch squeal

No problem during below 0 weather here. One thing to check are 2 bolts that hold the motor to its mounting bracket. Make sure not to over tighten the nuts, this will definately cause the motor to bind.

AMIKO Is it possible to move HH90 manually a couple clicks east or west?

I was doing the same same thing, that is, fudging the LONG settings after a severe wind storm re-adjusted the dish. I reset the LONG to the correct value, then with USALs sent the dish to 83W my near true south sat. Went up on the roof and loosened the bolts holding the motor to the mast and...
