Hi Chuck Info comes from the AZ premium + Service manual, they should have put it in the user manual. I agree it certainly goes against the grain to slow down a HD access speed but the AZbox processor seems unable to the faster HDs

Az box does not tell you that not only is 1TB HD on their limit the HD access speed also matters. If you have a jumper on the HD to reduce the access speed this may help.

I seem to remember a post a couple of months back where it was established the HDD speed on the Tbit drive was too fast for the AZbox. It would recognise the HDD but not record.

Sounds somewhat like an AC60 cycle striation lines on the tv screen from the Elite's power supply board. I am assuming you have no baby alarm, intercoms or network lan extentions that plug into the recepticles and use the power cables for transmission as these can induce some effects on tv screens

That suggests your dish is marginally out of line and the Pansat 9200 has better sensitivity in its tuner or the AZbox tuner is somewhat "deaf". You might also try changing the AZ tuner to the other slot.

Are you sure it is the external power supply, loose connection on the multicable (whites and black) plugs in the AZbox itself is quite common. Pop the top off and reseat them.
